I bought the 128gb version of the retina macbook pro but i only have 98 gb's available. I downloaded Microsoft office which was 1.31 gb's which is my only download. Where is the rest going? It says i have 9.7 gb's of applications in the "Macintosh HD" but when i go to about this mac and look at storage it says i have 18gb's of apps. What is going on exactly?

I'm looking at the 13 inch MacBook air with 4gb of ram and 128 gb ssd. I need it for my college courses. Taking notes, email, class websites, writing essays, surfing the web, watching YouTube videos etc.

All over the internet I have read about 4gb of ram and how it isn't enough for multi tasking. Apparently multi tasking for the people saying that is 70 safari tabs open with every other app on the laptop open. Seems silly to me given I would at the very most have 3 tabs open on safari and maybe one other app open.

Would 4gb of ram be enough for my use for a prolonged period of time let's say 5 years? If not instead of upgrading the ram to 8gb's I would rather just buy the retina MacBook pro 13 inch.

4th gen Intel core i5-4278u 2.6ghz to 3.1ghz (MacBook pro retina 13inch) vs 4th gen Intel core i7-4650u 1.7ghz to 3.3ghz (MacBook air 13 inch option).

The reason I'm asking is because I want to buy a MacBook and am stuck between the retina pro or the air. The retina pro 13inch is $1,299 and the 13 inch air is $999. But I would upgrade the ram on the air to 8gb to match the 8gb's of ram the pro has. The ram upgrade is $100. Also I would want the i7 processor upgrade for the air which is another $150. So total for the MacBook air I would want would be $1,249 vs 1,299 for the pro.

So with the same amount of ram and a $50 price difference I'm curious about which processor is better?

I hold no allegiance to either brand. I use to own an iPhone 4 then I upgraded to an HTC one (m7) which is what I currently own.

With the release of the iPhone 6 and 6 plus right about to happen I have been looking at what Apple brought to the table. I love the bigger screens especially because the dimensions of the iPhone 6 are almost identical to my current phone.

What I can't wrap my head around though are the iPhone 6 specs. It has a dual core processor and 1gb of ram. Compared to my current phone which has a quad core processor and 2gb of ram. I have no doubt in my mind that new phone will be faster than my current phone is but why?

How exactly are iPhones fast when the specs seems so small or is it that android phones are slow given the huge specs?

Does it have to do with 64 bit architecture? I don't know much of anything about hardware but I am trying to understand. Usually when someone asks a question like this it creates a war between people but I honestly just want more knowledge.

I have no problem loving both Apple and android and have no problem switching back and forth. At the time the iPhone 4 was the best phone out imo then two years later I believe the htc one m7 was the best phone so that's why I bought it.

I am currently a console gamer on the xbox 360. A lot of my favorite games sequels wont be getting released in the future on xbox 360 only on the one. On top of that I am getting rather tired of the console gaming constraints and having to pay for xbox live service, and dlc.

I have heard nothing but great things about pc gaming in comparison to console. Especially with games like skyrim and all the really cool mods available. I would love to start pc gaming but have absolutely no idea whats good what is not and even where to start looking. In the past people have told me about Alienware computers. I googled them and the x51 seems awesome to me.

I would use it for gaming and just entertainment in general kind of like a home entertainment console in the living room. Obviously I would want to use it as a computer but definitely on a nice sized monitor. I have a laptop currently and plan on keeping that.

I just want a gaming console that will easily replace my xbox 360 in terms of graphics and smoothness for the majority of popular games Skyrim, Halo, COD etc etc. So would an alienware x51 satisfy that? Also, there are 9 different options for the x51 there is a intel i3, i5, and 7 different i7 variations.

Would the i3 do given that its the cheapest? Or should I instead look into building my own pc? I am obviously very confused and don't know where I should start looking. I must admit though the alienware styling really has me thinking x51. Thank you so much!!!

I have been playing cod ghosts for about 3 weeks now and it blows my mind every time I play a match. It's nice to know that blind nutless chimpanzee's designed the spawn system and the guys from battlefield created the huge maps. Seriously though the guns are amazing the hit detection is amazing the overall game mechanics are silky smooth but man did they overshadow all this with the atrocious spawns and maps. Maybe I'm crazy but my god.

So my uncle has completed his sentence of nearly 21 years within a U.S. prison. The issue now is that he is going to be deported back to Portugal. That was where he was born and has citizenship. He does not have American citizenship so to my knowledge the protocol is to have him deported after he gets released from prison. My main gripe or confusion has to do with the fact that his lack of citizenship was not addressed 20 years ago so either he could have served his time in Portugal or something could have been worked out. If anyone could help me understand the way this type of situation works or things that can be done if anything at all.

I just purchased NFL Sunday ticket and I will probably be missing the majority of the saints game tomorrow due to work. Is there anyway I can watch the game from the beginning after its over? And if that's possible how so? Sorry about the n00b like question this is just my first year with NFL Sunday ticket. Also i do not have DVR or Tivo just a normal directv box. Thanks in advance!

Yay or nay?

I'm not even saying when it happens to me but also when it works out in my favor. I habw gotten thousands of bogus kills because of this system. Even after the kill i say yeah that wasnt a kill nor was it anywhere in the vicinity of a headshot. I couldn't tell you how many times my entire head will be behind a wall as I'm sprinting only to die while I'm behind a wall. Because of a) hitscan system and b) aim assist. I completely understand why halo 4 needed to be hitscan it helps with lag and negates the random missing of shots in halo 3. Trust me I understand that but it is very aggravating when your on a dead sprint and some guys reticle is on the back portion of your head and those shots are registering because his reticle is red when in reality he would be missing you by a couple feet. Now I'm not attacking hitscan I'm attacking the combination of hitscan and the absurd amount of aim assist halo 4 has. With the sniper anything from the sternum up including the arms is somehow a headshot. And don't even argue I have numerous clips in my theatre mode displaying this. And with the dmr your good for the headshot if you hit anywhere from the waist up. Sorry for the rant.

I know it sounds contradictory but I believe halo 4 is probably the best halo ever. It definitely has its flaws and some things in the game I disagree with. But overall I find it to be amazing. But it's not fun. Almost like the game takes itself to serious and I take it to serious. Prior halo games were a pure joy for me to play I would smile from ear to ear whether I was playing good or bad it was just so enjoyable. But halo 4 makes me incredibly angry all the time. Does anyone else agree? I am in no way complaining about the game like a lot of the halo community has been doing. I'm just not experiencing that same fun factor. So as a game it is probably the best halo but from a personal fun standpoint it's at the bottom right by reach in my opinion.

Sometimes I have to shoot someone with the dmr 6-8 times when they easily 5 shot me. Other times I easily 5 shot my opponent and I still have like 1/4 shields. How is this fluctuation possible some people I play with tell me it has to do with the host. I honestly don't know and it is incredibly frustrating. I love halo 4 like I am in love with it but due to this shots per kill issue I'm having my play is incredibly inconsistent. Has anyone experienced this? Oh and 9 times out of ten I have to spam the scattershot 5 times at point blank range and rarely get a kill only to face off against someone who picked up my scattershot and then one shots me from an absurd distance.

I am absolutely loving halo 4 and I welcome all the changes even I have been very into halo since combat evolved. Whenever I have the flag in CTF though and I see an enemy out of melee distance and I try to shoot the flagnum the first shot goes off nice then there is a pause in shooting even though I'm spamming the right trigger then the shooting continues a second later and that pause ends up getting me killed because I'm one to two shots behind in the encounter haha. I tested this by using the normal magnum and shooting as fast as I can and its all smooth all 8 shots as fast as I can pull the trigger. It only happens to me when I have the flag. Is this happening to anyone else? Is it common? What's the deal I'm not sure if its laggy or glitchy when I pick up the flag or what? Thanks! Happy slaying!

I definitely want to buy one of those games but I'm really torn on which one to get. Galaxy 2 has better reviews but I would hate to jump to the second game without playing the first. Even though Mario games aren't very story oriented. I can only buy one which one do you recommend? Thank you

I just got done watching the cowboy vs giants game and I was in shock that the giants didn't jam dez Bryant at the line. Instead they let him run a free untouched route right into the end zone. Luckily for the giants dez had his hand land out of bounds. It just seems like the cornerback position has become so soft at the line of scrimmage. Very few cb's even line up within a couple yards of the wide receiver. I just wish today's cornerbacks played more like Mel Blount within the first couple of yards.
