Which processor is better?
4th gen Intel core i5-4278u 2.6ghz to 3.1ghz (MacBook pro retina 13inch) vs 4th gen Intel core i7-4650u 1.7ghz to 3.3ghz (MacBook air 13 inch option).
The reason I'm asking is because I want to buy a MacBook and am stuck between the retina pro or the air. The retina pro 13inch is $1,299 and the 13 inch air is $999. But I would upgrade the ram on the air to 8gb to match the 8gb's of ram the pro has. The ram upgrade is $100. Also I would want the i7 processor upgrade for the air which is another $150. So total for the MacBook air I would want would be $1,249 vs 1,299 for the pro.
So with the same amount of ram and a $50 price difference I'm curious about which processor is better?
