Hi. I suck at logarithms. Can anyone help explain a couple problems to me? The more detailed the better. Even reviewing rules of logs is great. I have struggled with this so much, I'm just looking for some help.

1. 2 ln (x+3) - ln(x+1) = 3 ln 2

2. log4 (x+1) = 2 + log4 (3x-2)

3. ln (x+2) = ln (e^ln2) - ln x

Hi,

I'm struggling with the wireless here at my parents' house. The wireless wouldn't connect to my laptop, so I called Verizon and they reset the router and now my wireless works! However, somehow the wireless disconnected from my mother's computer. I can't get it to connect. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop, and she is running Windows XP on her desktop, but through a wireless connection. Using an ethernet cable is not possible in this situation, unfortunately.

I'm not very good with XP... Has anyone else seen this before and knows what to do? Whenever I type in the passcode for the wireless it does nothing. It looks like it's loading, or thinking about connecting, but then it just doesn't. I thought it was her firewall, so I turned that off and tried again, but nothing (then I turned the firewall on again).

Can anyone help a girl out here?

Will my apps that I didn't download (navigator, internet, texting, at&t music, etc) be on the phone after the reset?

I always bake huge amounts of cookies as gifts, and each plate i make can end up weighing over 2 pounds! I need 25-30 plastic plates that don't bend, the ones that are made of thicker plastic. Preferably, Christmas themed plates would be best.

I've checked Wal-mart, Target, Amazon, just about anywhere I can think of! I want to spend 10 dollars or less.

Anyone have an idea where I can get something like this? Or any other ideas for packaging cookies? Tins are too tiny, and paper plates just don't hold up that well.

I wrote this poem to get some feeling out, but also because it needed to be said. I think that this poem could be taken multiple ways and that the point I wrote it from isn't very clear. Please, tell me what you think, critiques, questions, comments, etc are all welcomed, and whoever guesses the closest meaning will get the ten points. I take criticism fairly well, so if you didn't like it, feel free to say so (but please tell why! So I was taking pics with my webcam when I got a blue screen error because windows tried to open a video with the wrong application and some other stuff that I don't understand. Basically, as I understand it, the blue screen hasn't harmed anything before.

Now, my webcam won't work. There's a little light that turns on next to the lens to indicate that it's working, and now that isn't happening.

My computer says it's still there, the driver and such is all in place, and it wasn't deleted, but I'm now unable to use cam.

Please help a girl out? I don't understand technology! Thank you!

I just got a new camera (Kodak Easyshare c182) and it's alright, but I think that the memory card might be screwy.

I put the memory card in my computer (Dell inspiron 15) and it will work for a few minutes but then suddenly i get a blue screen error. I don't know why! It just tells me that it's dumping memory or something to prevent critical stuff. It's happened twice and the only time I get a blue screen error is when that card was just inserted in my computer. It happens like, 2 minutes after wards.

I can't figure it out, and the bluescreen errors aren't good. I'm not technological. Please help! Thank you!

OK, so i got an email from a friend, and everything was similar, like her name was spelled correctly, they typed just like her, etc etc, except they changed her email address. they took her email address (let's just say it's sbbubbles@gmail) and changed it so it looked the same, but wasn't hers. (changed to: sbbuubbles@gmail) and so the message came in as "sally brownwell" but it wasn't her email. it claimed she was in the UK (which i happen to know Sally isn't), and was mugged and her money, both cash and credit, and her cell phone, which is why she was emailing me, because she needed help.

well, obviously i didn't give them anything. Sally's personal life is not one that would let her go to England, as well as get mugged. So i know this is obviously a hoax.

anyone know anything about a hoax like this, or gotten one like it? cause i'd love to know, otherwise i think it's sally being a witch (distinct possibility)

There's a bat in my house.

it woke me up with it's clicking. that's why i'm awake right now.

it was clicking because it was dying. my cat (i nominate for best cat ever) killed it.

it's half dead but that means it's half alive. it i try to pick it up with a snow shovel it clicks nad moves and screeches and hurts my ears and frankly i'm scared to death of it. i don't care if it's irrational, i hate it and it won't move and my dad won't come down and throw it out.

any ideas?!!?

My computer won't work... like at all.

it won't turn on, it won't recognize that it's plugged in, and it won't do anything! it's not the charger, we've tested that already and it works fine..

i was at school with my computer. i turned it on, used it, put it on hibernate, put it in it's case and put it in my teacher's closet. then i opened it 2 periods later and it wouldn't work! it wouldn't even turn on! =/

we took it to best buy and they didn't know what was wrong...

anyone have any ideas?

Ok so my guy is leaving tomorrow and I wanted to give him a little something to remember me by.

The only idea I have is a little hand sewn drawstring bag with chocolate kisses (since I can't give him real kisses at school) and poem inside.

OK, so my friend is going back to Korea for a while, about two months. He's also leaving tomorrow. I wanted to get him something to remember me by, like make him something cute he could put in his wallet, or something similar...

But I don't know what to get him. I just want it to be simple, and pretty, and small. It can take hours to put together, it doesn't matter, I just want him to remember me a little when he goes off to Korea.

Also, he's 17. If that helps at all.

Ok, so i need a cheap texting phone that can work with At&t. I'm not technological at all... but i just want a texting phone. My contracts not up for almost another year, but i need a new phone cause my current phone sucks and yeah... it's like soooo old. moving on..

Ok, so this is how it works.

4ish years ago i met this guy that i crushed on for like, ever. now i know a guy thats exactly like him except my age. i like him because he's cool, mature, and not a child like all the other freshman, lol...not because he reminds me of the guy i knew way back whenever.

but i'm stuck. i dated one guy for a month before we broke up (i broke if off because it was summer and i can't go three months surrounded by other guys and never seeing my bf without something happening, i know that. call me immature, or whatever else, fine, whatever.) anyway, i still like this guy. he;s so sweet, and he's like, 2 years older than me. but he lives like an hour and fifteen minutes from me, which means we'd only see each other during soccer and at school and stuff.

i can't really make up my mind here, on who i should choose. i'm 15. the first guy is 14 (only 4ish months younger than me) and the other is 17.

also, this really bithcy girl that goes to my school (i'm nice to her face, but i hate her secretly, etc etc) called the guy thats 14. like, seriously, claimed him. she gets pissed off even if i'm talking to him, not even flirting. so this is somewhat impacting my decision, because i don't want to start a cat fight and get kicked out for slaughtering some girl in a fight over a guy,lol... but i think she'll get kicked out soon anyway.

so again, who do you think i should go for? i've know the 17 year old for like, a year. we joke, we hang, we play soccer together and flirt, but he moves very slow in a relationship for me and i can't see him often. the 14 year old moves a lil too fast, and i've known him for less than a week, but i totally understand him since i knew a guy exactly like him.

who do you think i should choose? i know i'll make my own decision eventually, but i want some opinions.

Who should be more "in charge" of a relationship, in your opinion?

i have a problem with being too dominant with guys. i don't like having a whipped guy, to the point where he'll go with anything i want/say.

i love to fight! verbally, and physically, but all for good fun, not for real because i'm mad. i'm a good fighter, physically, after 9 years of martial arts... unfortunately i have yet to find a guy that i can date that can totally kick my ***. and yeah, it might be weird to phrase it that way, but i like the guy to be stronger than me.

is there like, a way to find very aggressive and dominant guys? i'm not talking internet dating site, but like, some things i could do to attract strong guys, or places to hang (besides the gym).

also, guys, does this sound too much?

a soccer and karate chick (each for 9 years) who isn't the skinniest girl in the world. slightly heavy (mainly on the chest and *** though) and partly muscle. long hair, to the small of my back, blonde/brown and blur-green-grey eyes. i love punk/rock/alternative music and skating and wrestling.

does that sound like a girl you'd like to date? even if she could kick your ***? lol.

So i met this guy this past friday. he's really hot, incredibly nice, perfect this perfect that, blah blah. anyway, to cut to the chase, i really like him.

we met dancing. we quit dancing half way through the night and just hung around and talked. he kissed me. yay.

but now i'm not even in the same state, but we have each other's numbers. i want to text him, but i don't want to bug him and seem clingy if he wants to think of it as a one night deal.

he's a lil older than me... i'm in highschool, he's probably college-ish.

alright, theres this idiot girl at my school named Grace. she's a *****, plain and simple. its sad, cause she's two years older than me, but she pisses me off all the time. if i'm nice to her, she gets an attitude, if i'm mean she gets an attitude, and if i ignore her she comes up and gives me an attitude for no reason. i'm pretty damn close to slapping her.

she's always glaring, staring, and talking behind my back, along with my friends. it pisses us all off, and we tell her to back off, calm down, shut up, and be quiet and **** like that but she won't. and what i hate the most is i can't hit her... (i totally would, but i got that martial arts black belt oath thing to live up to)

she's two years younger, but a bigger ***** then everyone. then she starts crying infront of teachers when i tell her she got something wrong. how the hell do i deal with a cry baby sissy prissy sassy girl witht he bitchiest attitude in the world in a nonviolent way?
