My daughter just started preschool in september, and it was evident from the first day of school that she was too advanced. Every day, her teachers tell me that she is so smart, that she keeps on a conversation like an adult, and knows allot of the things that are being taught, and that what she doesn't know she learns right away and helps her classmates. At home, she surprises me by the things that we talk about, things that a 5 year old don't really know, she knows like what a compound word is, or what is an allergic reaction and many other things.

So my question is: (this is my first child so i really don't know) Should i request a gifted class for first grade? Do they do That in CaliforniA? And what kind of program, or after school classes should i enroll her in? or should i not overwhelm her? i just dont want he smartness go to waste, because my child Truly is special.

OK, IM ATTENDING AN ADULT SCHOOL AND TRAINING TO BE A MEDICAL ASSISTANT. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I CAN'T GET CERTIFIED BY THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF MEDICAL ASSISTANTS (AAMA), OR BY the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS ANY OTHER ORGAZIZATION WHERE I CAN GET CERTIFIED? I HEARD THAT THERE MIGHT BE ONE SO THATS WHY I'M ASKING.

I have two kids and my husband and I have a 2007 Chevy Impala with 37k miles and he wants to get an even trade for a 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition fully loaded with almost 100k miles.

Should we make the even trade?? What do you guys think?

I got married in 2006 and I just never changed my last name. So now I want to go change it and i am wondering how much it actually costs. Does anyone know??? I live in los angeles ca

My daughter has stunned me. While in the shower, she asked me "why do people die?" I am really stunned. i don't know what to say to her, I don't know what is appropriate for her age. I just don't want to lie to her and i don't want to scare her either. this is the first time she has asked these types of questions. Of course i have talked to her about how she shouldn't let anyone touch her and things like that, but other than that, i always thought she was too small. How can i explain death and why people die? How do i know when is time and what is appropriate to tell her things??

My 2 year old son grabs my arm and stats touching it,sometimes even smelling it. He does this while watching tv, or just during any time in the day. I dont know what to think of it and i'm worried. I have also noticed that he sucks his bottom lip ALL the time.With all this, he doesnt speak very much. he can say a couple words, but not too clear. What's Happening to my son, and How can I stop this?
