about why a United States discrepancy exists in the age requirement to consume alcohol and to join the Military.

What are your theories on the rationale for:

1. Allowing 18 year old to serve their country but denying them the right (currently a privilege) to consume a beer.

2. What is a good minimum age to be granted military service?

3. At what age should a government allow a resident to consume alcohol?

This is a 3 part question. Remember that explaining "WHY" you feel the way you do is probably more important than the core of your answer.

The context of this question is that I go out with a group of people to a resturant every month or three after a monthly meeting and I often do not order food because I eat before the meeting (to be more functional).

This evening I did not order food but did order a soda and my Bill came to less that $2.50. Since I had only a couple of $5 bills I just handed my waiter a five and told him to keep the change.

I am very comfortable with my reasons for making this choice but I wonder what other people in other regions, or that work in the Food Service Industry think about very high tipping when the Bill is very small.

And; yes I did do a search for similar questions before I posted this question.

If the team from Massachusettes is playing the team from New York and both of these teams are located in the North East. Why would you have them play in South West corner of the country?
