I am a personal trainer and a former professional athlete. I have over 10 years experience with diet and exercise planning, as well as training. In addition I have experience with legal situations, and I have a "freedom" oriented mindset with a focus on personal responsibilties. Finally, about me, you should know I rarely pull punches. If you are being a complete moron, I will tell you about it. If you can't handle that, flag me, get my posts removed, do whatever you have to to feel better. Just know, it doesn't actually change anything. You're still an idiot and everyone else reading your idiotic ramblings knows it, even if I was the only one honest enough to call you out on it.

  • Why did Jesus die?

According to religion, God gave his only begotten son, Jesus, to save mankind. What did he save them from through death?

It is commonly said that Jesus died for our sins. What sins, and why did he have to die for them? If God wanted to forgive mans sins, why not just forgive them -why require the death of your own son?

If it was not to appease God, who is so powerful that God had to sacrifice his only son to appease him? What being would God sacrifice his own son to appease, for the sake of humanity?

It makes no sense. Interestingly enough, the God of the Old Testament was cruel and punitive. The God of the New Testament is much kinder and more forgiving. Is it possible Jesus was sacrificed to atone for the sins of God against man? God felt remorse and guilt for his mistreatment of mankind since it's creation, and as an act of contrition, he sacrificed his son to humanity -much as he, in the past, would have required a sacrifice such as that to forgive sins against him.
