I have a Mac and using photoshop cs5.

I want to print a few of my photos. What is the process for colour calibration when taking to printers?

Do I contact the printer and ask them what colour calibration settings do they have on their printers, so that i can change them on my mac?

Or what is the process?

What is the maximum size I could print this photo to exhibition quality.

This is the original photo, high end scanned from a 35mm negative to a TIF file.

So I have a 35mm film negative. Recently i got it scanned with a high end scanner to a large TIFF file (a1) for edit on photoshop.

In my edit, I decided to crop half the picture, so it focuses kind of like a zoomed in effect.

Now i want to take this file to be printed. But i noticed that the file size went from 235MB down to around 30MB.

Is that still suffiecient enough to be printed?.... I'm looking at an a3 sized print.

OR

Can you crop off from the negative?...Then get it scanned, for edit, for print.?

they've been dating for like 14 months, which isn't even long. And they broke up like 3 days ago and he won't stop talking about it and he keeps moping around. Like it is soooo annoying. I mean come on man. She dun want ya! pick up move on...like i have! Well i've never had a girlfriend, but when my last best friend moved state it took me like only a few days to get over it. THIS IS A GIRL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.....A GIRL!!! who cares.... and he whinges and crys and is always like I wonder what she is doing right now.

we'll be out...and having fun. then suddenly he will switch and want to go home and won't explain why. BRO ...he is like a girl...I will tell you what I'll help him with: I'll lend him some money, he can goto the hardware store, buy some wood and some tools...but he can build that bridge to get the eff over it!

He is supposed to be my mate! yo! i lost my job 3 weeks ago, I should be depressed..but nope I wake up each morning and head to the pub. I have a positive attitude. He doesn't.

If this keeps going on...i don't know what i'll do! DUDE 3 DAYS!!!! THATS IT

And I've let go. I truly positively have.

Now I just want to sign up at a gym and get muscley so I can get her jealous when I see her out. LIke shes been seeing this guy for about a week, and he goes to the gym that I'm signing up at. But his body isn't that muscley....like he is naturally thin, not like me as I'm quite stocky. So when I goto the gym I will actually bulk up quite big and get super cut.

LIke you will be able to see how big my shoulders get and I will probably get a mean 6 pack. Where the guy she is seeing will still be working out his chicken legs and weak torso, while i'll be lifting heaps and she will get jealous of me cos i make him look like a weakling dork..

I also noticed this guy has a few tattoos... I know she's not really into tattoos...so maybe his personality is ok. But i'm thinking of getting a tattooist apprenticeship, so that way when i see her - i'll casually drop that i ACTUALLY WORK with tattoo people...and the guy she is seeing just gets tattoos- like a lamo, true follower, a genuine sheep.

She'll see that i have moved on, and she'll probably want me back... but i've moved on i'll tell her..hahaha..plus there is this other girl I'm kinda seeing that goes to the same yoga place that she does... Well actually I'm not going to lie...I'm dating her yoga teacher. SO she only does yoga BUT I DATE THE GIRL THAT TEACHES IT. That will teach her...

Anyway my question is, if she wants me back - do i tell her gently or harshly. Harshly will be probably be better, because she will probably cry and i'll win, cos if you get to the bottom line- I'M OVER HER AND SHES NOT OVER ME

Ok.

So first things first. I'm not the judging type. You can be from any background, any social circle, any upbringing, any colour... I won't judge you. I am an extremely balanced person - and we could be friends or go for a beer even if you are one of societies outcasts or just a person who looks weird.

I think judgemental people are the weak ones. The 'haterz" or what ever. Just jealous that others are better than them and the only way they can be is negative.

Anyway enough of that. There is this guy I have never met. But I've seen him around on numerous occasions. Maybe 3 or 4 occasions. He is this white guy with heaps of tattoos on his arms. He kinda walks around like he is "king of the castle". Sometimes I spy on him to look at his tattoos on his arm to see if anything gives away for his "tough" persona.

Anyway, I've looked closely and noticed he has all these cliche tattoos. Like waterfalls, and planets and some crappy Chinese symbol. I rekon he isn't as tough as he makes out to be and is just pretending because he has low self esteem. I kind of want to break that tough guy attitude, i reakon he is really from the suburbs and had a really good upbringing and just wants to seem tough and experienced even though he probably works at the supermarket and has a really nice girlfriend. I love breaking people with low self esteem. I think it helps them. LIKE SERIOUSLY HOW CAN YOU SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM IF YOU CAN'T GET TO THE ROOT OF IT?!?! SERIOUSLY.

I've planned in my head that I'm going to go to the supermarket where he stacks the shelves and confront him for the first time in the aisle. Something along the lines that I know he is a fake, and cliche tattoos are dumb and if you really want to have that persona you to ride a motorbike, have a beard, treat your hot woman like a trophy and spit alot. Just having dumb tattoos doesn't make you anything. It just makes you a guy who looks like a dork with drawings on his arm and stacks shelves. STACKS SHELVES BAHAHAHA. He also looks about 27-28, lol who stacks shelves at that age.

The question is to everyone reading...is should I be gentle? I mean he could be depressed or something. I don't know. I mean depression isnt even that bad. I had depression when my girlfriend broke up with me. I probably had the deepest depression, more than anyone has ever felt. And I came out un-scathed. I didn't come out with some stupid tumblr account, crap tattoos or a self-depreciating journal. I did'nt cry out for help... I just got a job as a taxi driver and layed out my probems to my passengers. No stupid tattoos.

So should i be gentle? or give him the hard word. Remember I've never met him, so I don't want to be too harsh...but people like that need to be pumped with the bottom line or else they go and get more **** tattoos (lol).

So there is this girl that I have been staring at for a while. I've never met her. But I've looked at her, and she looked back at me once when she caught me starting at her - but i looked away.

But just the way she looked at me when she caught me. It just looked so negative. Like she didnt like me looking at her. I've looked at her only a few times for a few minutes, but i think she has only caught me once.

She looked at me with scorn - distaste, if she looked at me with a frown does that mean she is into me? - I'm not sure, but i think she is into me so that frown was more of a thought about how chilled i am,but maybe too scared to approach me? scorn/distaste...could that equal friendhsihip/ future love?

Anyway i'm going to approach her, I'll just keep watching until SHE brings up the courage to approach me, I can feel she possibly likes me, just by the way that she walks/struts. Even though i've never met her ...just the way she walks down the stairs at school when i'm around...so sexy! Like she is sending me telepathic messages.

Anyway... what should my reply be when she approaches me? SHould i pretend that i didn't hear her...give her the "treat em mean keep em keen " approach...... or should i just learn some magic tricks to show that i'm actually quite talented.

Can I scan a 35mm negative, using a high end professional scanner,,,, to an A1 sized Tiff?

A TIFF that i could retouch myself, then go and get printed at A1 size?

I have a set of 35mm film photos.

But I cant find the negatives.

I want to make some larger prints of some of these photos, do i need the negatives, or can one make prints from the prints.

OK... well i know I'm unique. So it's more a rhetorical question (sorry yahoo answers)

But anyway. I think I am a true individual and truly unique when it comes to the clothes i wear. The clothes i choose to present myself to the world on a day by day basis.

Most people wear "street" brands from Urban Outiftters. But omg. They are so fake. They pretend to be cool, and street and "down". But they don't get invited to the same parties that i get invited to. The exclusive ones.

Anyway i think its important to be different. I wear only the High-end brands you know like comme de garsons, givenchy etc etc. Its not that I can afford it...i either get given it because I have creative designer friends or I save up and buy select UNIQUA pieces.

I don't think anyone dresses like me, and not many people buy the brands that i mentioned above. I usually stroll around Williamsburg areas or Soho and find random little stores.

I hate when people say im not individual.

ok...so here goes

There is this guy at work who just started yesterday. Ive never really spoken to him. Well never in fact.

But he has this way of holding his brief case when he walks into the office. I hate it so much. He just wraps every single finger, every knuckle roll is tucked in neatly around the handle of the briefcase.

BUT only when he walks into the office in the morning. Never at any other time of the day.

He strolls in like everybody is watching him. So he trys to look cool, calm and confident with this bloody way of holding his briefcase. I just hate it so much. It's not that i hold my briefcase wrong or anything. AND IM NOT JEALOUS. I just wish he wouldnt hold his briefcase so perfectly. LOOSEN UP MAN!!! YOU ONLY STARTED THIS JOB YESTERDAY!!!

It doesnt help that he is Asian as well.

Anyway,tommorow, when he goes to lunch I'm going to get some strong scissors and cut his handle, so it hangs loosly by a thread, then when he goes to pick it up - boom - It will fly out of his hands!

No more mr smug face tight fingers no more. Hope he gets a backpack instead...damn that would look so juvenile in my office...hahaha loser..

Anyway i just need to rant somewhere...

OK.....so here goes.

There's this girl, that i've never actually properly met. I just know her name is Sarah because I saw her name tag once when i was returning dvd's.

I wouldnt say it was instant love because that is just creepy. BUT i felt some sort of pang run through my body when she looked at my hands when i handed over the DVD's.

I was going to approach her yesterday, but then when i walked into the shop she gave me this look that said we could only ever be friends. So i didn't approach her because that is what she probabaly thought.

I wouldnt say im ugly. But i'm also not "hot". 6"11, trim build, chiseled but not overly Russian facial features. I'm extremely confident and i usually handle most situations better than most people.

I just can't understand why she would of given me THAT look.

Could we be more that "just friends"??

Maybe something a little more long term. I could take her to the movies, or a nice little cafe that i know. Or my house for DVD's. I know she would like my movie taste because of the way she looked at my hands the first time we met.

ahhhh THAT look is killing me! I'm usually more confident than this.

He looks like the biggest douche though. He is just so confident. He says hi to everybody and smiles alot. And people smile back and talk to him. I hate that. Like he owns the place.

The second time i ever saw him was in the supermarket I usually shop at. He was eating crackers, but the way he was eating infuriated me. He just looked like he was the one who shopped there all the time ( but id never noticed him there before). He ate the crackers like he was the boss of the supermarket.

What a douche.

I have a RAW file that is going to be printed out as a poster.

Firstly, if the printing companys says the print is 2000x850mm at 720dpi, what PPI should i save it as on my computer?

Secondly, what is the best file format to save it as TIFF or PDF?

How to Lecturers mark essays in regard to copying/changing the words from a book or an internet site?

If the markers are reading 100+ essays, do they have a list that tells them what is copied/changed. How would they remember....

What if i changed everything, but just summerised the article, would they be able to tell? Or would i get lucky that they have marked so many that they just skip over it.

Hope this makes sense...my mind is a little frazzled from this essay writing....

or is it just mainly natural portrait shots-high lighting their best angles/sides. Some colour...some b/w

How many photos do actor's expect. 3 to 4?

a whole portfolio of 10-12 pictures.

I guess it comes down to what the photographer is charging. But if I was charging AUD$150 including editing...what would they expect.
