Blocking to win an argument, a "Christian" thing to do?
In the last 48 hours I've been blocked twice by people meeting any reasonable definition of Fundamentalist Christians.
Both people asked extremely insulting questions aimed at non-believers, particularly atheists.
One even sent me an email, which I allow but he does not, and blocked me before I could reply!
OK, my replies were pretty insulting, but my view is if you can't handle it don't dish it out!
I see the "reply then block" move as cowardly and craven, and a sign that they've lost the argument.
What do you think?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAtheists and agnostics, are the theists on Y!A R&S really trying any longer?
I don't mean "trying" as in testing your patience, that very well may be a given.
I mean the quality of the questions, arguments ("arguments" as in reasoning, not written fisticuffs) and debates just doesn't seem as high a quality as it used to be a year or more ago.
More insults, often not even clever, just immature and puerile, and less real communication.
There's still some very clever people getting their point across but there's also a lot just putting up questions and choosing the "Best Answer", that usually agrees with their viewpoint and, mysteriously enough, is often written in a similar style to the question, within an hour or two.
And the repetitions! Wow, I can cut and paste this question, changing a few words, every week too! That doesn't mean I should.
In short guys, do you think they've given up?
Or is the general internet user just become bored and jaded?
Or some other reason?
