in 9mm for conceal carry. just want to hear your opinions.

I'm in the Iowa Army National Guard as a combat engineer. I am going to go to school for criminal justice. I'm 20 years old. I'm just looking for some advice.

I got a list from my RSP company and there's quite a few things on there. I just want to take the bare minimum, so all of it will fit in a backpack and not some big over the shoulder gym bag. Anyone that recently been there for Combat Engineer OSUT please help out.

im leaving for OSUT in January and i was wondering if i would get to keep my dress uniform as a national guard member? i know it sounds stupid but i just want to be sure because if im back in time there's this girl that wants me to go to prom with her while wearing my uniform. thanks for any answers you guys give me. soon to be combat engineer.

im enlisted in the guard as a combat engineer at this moment, and i might decide to go active after high school, i was thinking about going Ranger, airborne infantry, Cav Scout, Military Police, or just staying a combat engineer. do you think the army would have me go MP because i will have a degree in criminal justice? what are your opinions on those MOS'?

pretty much i just want to know which gets paid more, and by how much

i got my gear after i was done with MEPS, now this weekend is my first RSP and i have the RSP PT uniform but i dont have the red under-shirt that goes with it. my recruiter told me to wear a regular red shirt under it but all the red shirts i have, have graphic designs like a southpole and an MMA shirt, but i dont want the cadre to notice it and get smoked all weekend. so should i just wear a red shirt under it or should i wear the regular grey winter pt gear???

im currently enlisted in the army national guard as a combat engineer and i will be leaving for basic January 2nd. i'm thinking that after college if i want to go active duty i would want to join the air force because i hear they have a really good security forces program, since im going to school for criminal justice, i have a couple of friends that are in the air force and they love it. i was wondering in 3 to 4 years when im done with college if i would be able to break my army national guard contract and enlist into the Active Air Force???

i have also heard of a program call "Green to Blue" or something like that where soldiers can become airmen even if they are still in the middle of their contract. can someone explain that to me???

i enlisted a week ago into the army national guard and sense then i've been having second thoughts about the whole thing, because i really didn't think it through and i feel like i just jumped on the band wagon. i only met with my recruiter twice before going to MEPS. i ship for basic in a couple of months and was wondering if there was any way for me to get out or cancel my contract???

if it helps my contract is messed up anyways. on a few of the documents they put the wrong month on my birth date. would that make my contract invalid because it has the wrong information????

im gonna be going to college for criminal just next year, took this year to join the military, we always see patrol cars driving around. my question is as a state trooper, sheriff or city police officer are you given a certain route that you have to patrol or do you just have to patrol a certain sector of the area???

ok so just the other day i went to MEPS and swore in and everything. well while i was up there they notice that my birth date was wrong my recruiter put a 7 for the month instead of an 8. it was then supposedly fixed. well i'm back home and looking over it and notice that on about 3 or 4 sheets in my contract still say 07 for the month... will i have to go and redo my contract or how is this going to affect me?????

my friend is wanting to be in the airforce, but when he was really young (under 5) he had heart surgery. i told him that his safest bet on joining the military would be the Air Force or the navy, because the army and marines probably wouldnt take him. i know alot about the air force because i once looked into joining, and i did A LOT of research before i made my decision, im now a combat engineer with the national guard, i told him that the best field that he could go in would be intel. he doesnt want to sit behind a desk all day. so i had him go on the website and match his interest, and the one that caught his eye was and Aerial Gunner, he said it looked cool and would give him his adrenaline fix. so does the air force allow people that have had heart surgery in or not, and if so do you think he would be allowed to be an aerial gunner????

ok so the unit near me is going to deploy next year and its only a company size unit. i am enlisting this next month, and i will probably be assigned to that unit. my recruiter told me he could get me in that unit, if i wanted to be in it, but i have to wait til the first week of October because he's at a training thing all this month. if i get back from One Station Unit Training before they leave next year do would i be deployed with them?

i wouldnt have much training with my unit.

and i plan on going to college next fall.

im enlisting into the army national guard and the MOS' that i want are either 31B military police or 12B combat engineer. my question is do combat engineer do many on foot patrols or are they always stuck in a truck driving up and down a road all day looking for IED's?

i'm going to become a police officer on the civilian side and many people say that police stations dont like to hire former MP's.

my family also doesnt want me to do a combat MOS

the combat engineer unit is only 27 miles away, the MP unit is close to 70 miles away, and there's only one MP slot open at the moment.

i have time to decide because i dont get to go to MEPS until the first week of October because my recruiter has a training thing during september

i just want your personal opinions.

im hoping to get Military Police as my MOS

i know guard deploys as a unit, have more college money, but alot of people have bad things to say about it, but the reserves aren't perfect either.

i dont want to hear why dont you check into the air force, my decision is Army just trying to figure out reserves or guard.

my internet provider is our cable company for the area (Mediacom). but my sister gave me their wireless router from windstream and told me if it would work. i have to to where my laptop can identify it and connect to it but it just says no internet access. help????

special forces, rangers, and airborne have their own berets, and the cavalry have their shetons. do you think that military police should have their own to differentiate themselves for the other soldiers. other countries MP's have their own color berets. i think it would be cool if we did too.
