I am planning to change the substrate in my 55g. I was thinking about using "Voodoo River" CaribSea sand ( http://www.caribsea.com/pages/products/super_nat.h... ). My question is would the tank have a mini-cycle from removing the bacteria from the gravel? My filter is established and my tank parameters are sound. I am just a little worried about my 6 corys, 5 zebra danios, 7 neon tetras, and 1 dwarf gourami surviving. I was thinking that I could bag some of the old gravel in small mesh bags and leave it in the aquarium until it establishes. OR I found CaribSea Instant Aquarium gravel ( http://www.caribsea.com/pages/products/instant_aqu... which is both inert and hosts live bacteria --- though I have never heard of that before.
What are your thoughts?

I am not sure whether I should do a species or community. My tank is newly done with fishless cycling, plan to heavily stock with plants. Currently I have 2 zebra danios (didn't want to stress my bioload with many fish.)
