What would my real life options be?

I have an older Dell Latitude D800 with a Pentium M (non pae) processor. So I have been able to load (tried many) LinuxMint 11, 12 and 13 (xfce), Fedora 16, and right now LXDE (current non beta) is loaded. My problem is the mouse. It likes to nest either in the top right or bottom left corner of the screen. LXDE has been the best so far with it working for a short while, then open some windows and it will seak out a nesting location. Sometimes it gets tired of one and then crosses the screen to the other one.

It is not consistent in it's pull to the nesting location (sometimes I can pull it out, with it trying to return slowly, sometimes I can't pull it out at all).

It works the same if I use the touchpad or the microsoft intellie mouse. I have tried switching the mouse out, but I only have another mouse of the exact same brand and model.

So any ideas how to fix this?

We have bought some bright green Castelvetrano olives from the Kroger olive bar. Now there is not a Kroger near us and the Castelvetrano olives we have gotten on the olive bar (olive drab green) and one of the jarred varieties basically taste like green olives. Anyone know the brand Kroger uses on it's olive bar? I'd like to find some online.

I have a game disc (dues ex) that has a scratch and stops installing at 82%.

What is a good repair kit to fix this that doesn't cost more than a new game?

Back in late 79 or early 80 I was in the Chicago area (Ft. Sheridan actually), and a hit song at the time was lovin touchin squeezin, But NOT by Journey. It was a female duet by 2 well known singers who I can't remember. It was not until I took a trip to Indiana a month or so later I heard it, and it was by Journey. I was like, "What is that?" But I can't find who this female duet was at the time that sang this. Anyone know?
