  • counter suing landlord/tenant?

i lived in an apartment from august 2010 to november of 2011. my lease was from august 2010 to september of 2011. from september to november of 2011 i was on a month to month basis.

about february of 2011 mold began to grow on window seals and in bathroom ceiling. also under kitchen sink. Also the tiles inside of my shower began to break and mold was underneath them. i called my complex to come and fix the situation and they never came. since i had a infant living with me 3 days out of the week i was concerned and irritated with the fact they were not taking it seriously. i contacted the housing authority in my area and they sent me paperwork to give my complex. it stated that if all the issues were not fixed within 7 days i would be able to vacate without being responsible for not giving a 30 notice of leaving. they did "fix" the issues, so i thought. they also suggested that i buy a dehumidifier for the bathroom, because apparently the fan in my bathroom was not doing the job after showering. they also suggested to lower the temp on my heater. again, i had an infant in my home for 3 days 2 nights out of the week.

a few months later the mold came back, i noticed that the tiles in the bathroom that were falling out were never taken out, and they basically plastered on a hard plastic lining over the problem areas...

also what they used to "get rid" of the mold was a type of spray paint that they claimed killed the mold/mildew. at this time i cannot remember what the name was, but i do remember i researched it at the time and it is supposed to be used on drywall before applying the paint so that moisture doesn't get into the drywall. but they used it on top of paint.

anyways, i paid my rent in full on the the first of november 2011. I did not give a 30 day notice, but i did supply with more paperwork stating i was leaving bc they were unable to properly fix the mold/mildew and moved out. they did tell me that i was responsible for another 30 days of rent but i refused and still moved out. i recently received a letter from collections for over $1000 bc i did not give 30 day notice. which i obviously am disputing.

so my question is: if this continues to court, am i able to counter sue them for the inconvenience and/or the living conditions of my apartment?

i have proof of all my paperwork, and also pictures of the mold, both times it happened. i also do have proof that i did what they said by getting a de humidifier, i still have the receipt of purchase.

    sorry this was so long..

  • vulva redness and irritation?

the past few days i have had pretty bad itching, at first i didnt think anything of it, but from the scratching i made it worse. My discharge is completely normal, i seriously doubt it is a yeast infection. and i also know that it is not a bacterial infection, bc i am currently using a vaginal antibiotic for bv twice a week, for the next 14 or so weeks.

the itching and redness is in my inner vulvar area, both sides. i also have genital herpes but when i look with a mirror i do not see any signs of an outbreak.

the ONLY thing that changed is my laundry soap. i just realized this today, and immediately rewashed everything with the soap that ive normally used.

so, i am assuming that this irritation has come from the change of soaps.

how long will it take for it to go away? get back to normal?

i had been taking benedryl for the past two nights and it temporarily relieved the itching.

i've also been using ointments and desitin to protect it from more irritants, which definitely helps.

please let me know if any of you have experienced this!

  • Have you or do you have PID?

if you have, is the pain constant? or is it subtle and every so often? do they feel like cramps? is it on one side of your lower abdomen or in the middle?

just asking for personal experience, since online research is pretty broad.

    thanks if you can answer!!

  • eating disorder? opinions please?

im not really sure if this is considered an eating disorder. So i need some thoughts and opinions.

    i am 5'10 and currently 125 pounds.

my weight is so low bc i am extremely stressed and there is no way around it. I am used to this happening.

when i am not stressed, i eat normal and gain about 20 pounds back. it usually takes me about 6 months.

but when i am stressed i am just not hungry. when i do feel hungry i do eat. but other than that i have no appetite. my body will only tell me im hungry once a day and thats when i eat. i dont think i am an anorexic bc i do not have a fear of gaining weight, i actually want to. and i dont ignore the signs my body tells me when i am hungry, i just have no appetite. and when i do try and eat when im not "hungry" i feel sick to my stomach.

i need some advice on how to get back on track i suppose. opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

  • IUD (paragard) and cervix pain?

I have had my Paragard copper IUD for a little over two years.

just one month ago everything was fine. but for the last couple of weeks i have been having lower abdominal cramps.

if i feel my cervix with my finger i can feel my strings, but if i apply pressure it causes cramps.

is it possible that my iud has slipped into my cervix? has anybody had this similar situation happen to them?
