  • 5 week old kitten wont poop?

I was given a 5 or 6 week old kitten from a lady who had a young cat have its first litter of kittens and this kitten was the only one who survived. I know she is very young to be away from mom but she was given to me because they didnt want her anymore While she has been here she has ate half a can of cat food and I gave her two bottles because I didnt want her to get dehydrated. She is very active and playing just fine, shes acting normal. But she hasnt pooped since we got her which was three days ago. I have tried stimulation but she fights me. She is peeing in her litter box just fine but wont poop. She also wont drink from her dish of water. Any suggestions im getting a little worried.

  • Wanting to get a rabbit but have some questions!?

Okay so I have researched rabbits for quite a long time and I have always wanted one. My roommate and I have both decided that we would like a rabbit as she is allergic to dogs and cats but we have some questions.

First of all we are both college students im a 3rd year and shes in her 1st but we both have very light schedules. I have tuesdays and thursdays off and im never in class past 2 pm on the other days. The rabbit would be strictly an inside pet so please answer accordingly.

But we are wondering about the following.

-What is the best breed for first time rabbit owners?

-If they are litter trained do they stink up the house ( we dont plan on leaving it in a cage we would rather just let him stay in an exercise pen all the time then let him out to roam freely when we are home)

-What breed is the easiest to litter train?

-Are they messy? ( we like to keep a very clean house, so we dont want a mess all the time we dont like when things look messy)

    - Should there be a different kind of animal to consider? ( we dont want anything that smells and we hate mice, gerbils, ferrets ect.) we want something fuzzy and cute to cuddle a play with and we know rabbits require a lot of time and we are prepared for that but are we over looking some other pet?

-please tell us any disadvantages you have had with rabbits. We want the truth, whats the hardest part? The worst part? ect!

    Thanks

  • Came home to blood all over dog was peeing blood!?

Hi i came home today at lunch and went to get my dog out of his room and there was blood everywhere he had peed and pooped and droplets of blood were everywhere.. Now of course i looked and saw it was his urine that was bloody and headed straight to the vet. He guessed that it is a urinary infection and took a xray and found its a kidney infection. He treated him for it immediately and kept him over night because there was blood in his poop.

The vet is also concerned that our dog has cushings disease(we r getting tests run) if he does i want to know if anyone has a dog that has it and what do you do to help him/ her be comfortable. Is cushings going to harm my dog, when we adopted it they told us that its hair loss was due to food alergy and we havent had him very long. They tested his thyriod and it wasnt that but we didnt know about cushings. So please help me give me all the info you can. I want personal experience.

Also with the kidney infection should i be worried, i mean there was blood droplets all over and the poor little dog i felt terrible! please help

    Thank you

  • If a person has had 2 periods can they still be pregnant?

So im wondering if this person could still be pregnant. She had protected sex and he pulled out before he ejaculated. She had a period in January, cramps back pain and it lasted as long as usual. She had her period in Febuary same cramps and back aches and lasted longer than usual very heavy. Now she is still worried and is waiting for her next period. Im doubting shes pregnant but she seems to think sol She has had a little weight gain but shes been working out pretty hard and the area around her breasts is not brown its still pink.

But considering shes worried, is there a possibility that she could be pregnant

  • Dog has diarrhea today is there anything i can do?

My dog had some people food just recently which my mom gave him and i think thats what triggered the diarrhea. He is acting normal, although i have not seen him eat or drink in the last few hours... he did regularly yesterday he ate the people food and his own and drank normally. Im wondering if i need to take him to the vet. He threw up this morning once and then he acted fine and now hes had diarrhea and i think we are seeing the end of it because he hast gone in about two hours..But what worries me is he isnt drinking.

Is this a bad sign should i take him to the vet?

  • I think my dog from the shelter broke its leg at one point?

About three months ago we adopted a pomeranian from a shelter and we noticed that his front left leg he kinda favors... he doesnt act like it hurts him we can sqeeze it and stretch is and he wont bark.. and he walks on it but he trips like it gives out every once in a while.

Tonight i picked him up and i felt around again and i noticed that his leg goes off to the right just slightly at the knee and the other leg goes perfectly straight... Is is possible that he broke his leg way before the shelter found him and it just mended funny on its own. If so what should we do about this

You should know that this dog is 10 years old and so we dont want to do anything major because he doesnt have a whole lot longer left to live.. we could pay for surgery but he walks on it just fine just occasionaly trips over it... What do you suggest... a brace? something?

    Could it be something else?

  • What can i do so my dog doesnt slip on the wood floor!?

We have a 10 year old pomerianian that we adopted and we have a wood floor that he has to cross in order to get around the house. The wood floor is very slick and he slips all the time on the wood floor, we ordered him booties but he trips over the booties too.. Is there someting else we can do so he doesnt slip, he has hurt himself several times, and we just feel horrible, we have area rugs out but he doesnt use them very well because they are spaced out and we cant fit another rug in where he needs one.. What can we do to make the floor less slick or what can i do for my dog so he stops slipping

  • pomeranian weird front leg issue?

ok i have a pomeranian that i adopted from a shelter and so i do not know his background but ive had him for about 4 months... Ever since we got him he has had a front leg problem where he can run and walk on it just fine but when he stops to sit down he holds up that paw or he sets it down and picks it back up multiple times until he finally puts it down ...... sometimes when he walks its like his looses his footing with that front foot and he goes down on the knee of it then gets back up and runs and it totally fine.... but more and more we have noticed him bending at the knee back and forth alot when he sits down...

i do not know how old his is vet estimated about 8... and he licks that front paw and sleeps quite a bit unless i am up and active in the house... then he follows me everywhere..

could it be that he just hurt himself on the hardwood floor? he slips and slides alot and we are waiting for his booties.... what could his problem be??
