  • Adrenaline/butterflies when trying to sleep.?

I am trying to get to sleep and just as I am about to drift off to sleep, I get this mild adrenaline rush, like butterflies in my stomach. I have never gotten this before and am perplexed.

I have done some cursory online investigation and the signs seem to point to a nocturnal panic attack. However, this seems to be linked to drug withdrawal and/or pre-existing chronic anxiety, neither of which apply to me.

I do have a possible cause for it, but it is purely psychological and not physiological in nature. But again, nothing I have yet found points to acute psychological issues causing this.

Does anyone out there have any answers?

  • Windows 7 severe system slowdown?

My father updated his laptop today (Oct 16 2014) and once the updates were complete, his system is now acting extremely sluggishly and system restore will not initialize.

I have looked online, trying to find some solution for this problem, but of everything I have found, nothing works or seems applicable.

I apologize for the lack of detail (system specs, etc) but this information cannot be accessed. All I know is that it is a Windows 7 laptop and up to date with updates and service packs. As far as the behavior of the system, as I said, it responds very slowly once it has booted up and system restore will not initialize.

Please help and thank you for any input.

  • Do you agree with the statement "for a thing to exist, it must conform to the natural order of the universe"?

Basically, the idea is that for anything to exist, whether it be a concept or object, that it cannot operate outside, or in violation, of the natural order of the universe. If a thing seems to violate the natural order, then it simply means that our understanding of the natural order is incomplete and has not entirely accounted for the observed phenomenon.

So, agree or disagree? Include why you believe this way if you would be so kind.
