Is the Christian New Testament part of your holy books? I know that the "Old Testament" or tanakh is part of your faith; and that Jesus was a prophet in Islam. But do the new testaments teachings hold weight in your faith?

Just a curiosity....

So, about a week ago my puppy who is a little over eight months began flea-biting or nibbling on my blankets. She takes a segment of sheet or blanket and folds it to make a tiny crease and starts at it. Not sure if she likes the clicking sound it makes or if it's an affection thing; because most of the time she Is pressing her snout into us while she is doing it. Her face looks very content while she is doing it.

And if the sheet has embroidery, forget about it... Click click click all morning...

So, why is he doing this? Is it OCD or affection? Is it a puppy thing?

I recently had a Jewish person tell me that hasatan is not a devil.

If he is not a devil, what is he according to Jewish belief. I know hasatan is an opposer and your scripture speaks little of him.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (Job 1:5-7 KJV)

This is one of the few sections mentioning the name of hasatan or satan in Christianity. I believe the text is quite similar to the texts in the Jewish holy books.

Here we see job is making offerings to God. The sons of God or the believers on the law of Moses known as the Jews were presenting themselves before The Lord making offerings. I know this is usually interpreted as a divine council of angels or heavenly beings but I believe the prior verse in context tells us that job was making offerings and presenting himself before The Lord. Many of the use ages of sons of God could also be interpreted as man. This theme reoccurs in Christianity as the believers are called the sons of God. This could also be ambiguously used for the believers on the most high God.

Regardless of my opinions on this, the sons of God presented themselves before The Lord and hasatan came also. Hasatan is regarded as separate, as he came "also" and not "with" or "among" the "sons of God".

If he is not a son of God he is not human or angel; that I believe would be an obvious point.

If he is not a devil; then what is he?

This Jewish person also told me that devils do not exists; which I find to be unbelievable.

Possession was common theme even in Judaism.

I know that the most high God does not possess.

Then who does that also?

That a loss of belief or faith in God is based on poor spiritual food?

It can be composed of spiritual malnutrition, by not reading and searching the word of God diligently; or by not attending fellowship (church) and getting a proper cutting of the word.

Sometimes we attend church regularly And read the word; but still are not growing in your belief and possibly even losing belief in God...

This is can be caused by poor teaching on how to divide the word of God.

Today so many Christians to to revival meetings and tent ceremonies to recieve a spiritual high, that is temporary relief for their lack of inner fire for God. That drive and excitement for God!

When we are being properly taught the word and know how to accurately read it; there is no loss of this inner fire. You are recieve of a proper spiritual diet and have the necessary spiritual energy to fuel you to greatness in God, and Christ.

So often we decieve ourselves with a poor spiritual diet and use our revival "vitamins"; but as Christians we want to get the full nutritional value from our spiritual good the word of God.

This was just something on my heart that I felt I should share because I see so many questions asking how to rekindle belief on God. Faith comes by hearing the word of God accurately.

Reevaluate your spiritual life. Are you reading the word of God? Are you attending fellowship? Is your fellowship accurately teaching the word? Are you accurately reading the word?

To find the answer to these questions examine the fruits your life produces when you are performing these things. As you properly hear and read the word of God from a right dividing of the word of God, it should be comforting, edifying and exhorting lovingly. These are the three guidelines to godly interpretation of the word; not manly interpretation.

Hearing a message every Sunday about how you are a sinner and need to repent, will not spiritually sustain you and is the polar opposite of how God declares the forthtelling of his word to manifest within you. Condemnation is not edifying, it is not comfort and it is not exhortation done with love. It is a message of fear, from the adversary; and a signal that you need to seek out spiritually and scripturally sound food.

Although this is in Refrence to his becoming a Christian from Judaism; none of the 13 apostles including Paul (14 if you count Timothy), ever went to a seminary, they never had a phd.

A man of God should be regarded for his ability to work the word accurately and have it align perfectly with the rest of the bible. So why would we as Christians or non-Christians care about the doctorate in theology? There is obviously a problem with the way the word is moving now, don't you think it's time to change the system? I have seen more men with no theological schooling at all, walk more efficaciously in the word than I have men with doctorates in theology.

Sorry, this is a bit ranty; just trying to understand.

Repeatedly post the same question, sometimes reworded with the same meaning? Every day I see specific members reporting reworded questions over and over again... They ignore all the given answers, they just keep posting...

Is this because they are incapable of read the answers given? Do the words not penetrate their minds? We are indeed speaking the same language, so I know it isn't a language barrier...

It just baffles me...

If you cannot recieve or understand the answer, why post the question? It makes no sense! This is a community to share knowledge, why ask for knowledge or wisdom on a matter yet neglect the answers?

Please try to answer all questions. Also insults will automatically be disregarded for best answer. I don't need to waste my time spreading ignorance or opinions, I want to understand the logic behind these people, because to me it is apparent that here is a lack thereof.

Also I mean not to insult anyone, I only ask questions for growth spiritually or in understanding. I don't waste my time on petty insults.

It is in my understanding that you believe the archangel micheal is in fact The Lord Christ Jesus. How do you get born again if you believe the savior is another person or being? Romans 10:9-10 states that you must call Jesus lord, but to you Jesus is micheal, so by calling Jesus lord, by your understanding you are calling micheal lord. It makes no sense to me. Also Michael, Gabriel and lucifer were the three great angels, how does an angel transform into the son of God? The scriptures never state they are one in the same, the scriptures tell us not to worship angels, and Jesus Christ is said to be greater than the angels. So how can you equate him to an angel?

I've been wondering this for a while, so I hope someone can explain this confusing doctrine...

I see a lot of atheist's claims that state Christianity is dishonest, or that it doesn't encourage free thought. As a Christian myself, I understand where you get these ideas, but not all Christian groups practice the same ignorant beliefs. My spiritual belief in Christianity is defined solely by the word, commonly referred to as the bible. Not all Christians preach hellfire and damnation, fear, encourage ignorance, or cheat their disciples. I'm also not quite sure why we have to bash each other for our belief system. To say Christianity doesn't encourage free thought is a statement of ignorance, or having no true understanding of what the bible teaches. It encourages thought free thought and ideas and encourages people to believe in themselves and not be herded along. There is a verse that states: be he not conformed, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. It means don't conform to the whole, but pull away and lovingly think towards the greater good of all.

As for dishonesty, some churches deal in this manner, but not all.

The point is, just because you have a bad experience with a single Christian or a church you attended, why does the entire group get blamed? I don't blame atheists for the ignorance of a few, instead I try to expound knowledge pertaining to my faith so that we can come to an understand and hopefully come to a peaceful and common ground. I am also a little confused as to why atheists bother posting on a religion and spirituality thread because technically atheism isn't either, and most atheistic believers have no desire to learn or hear about Christianity.

Most arguments atheists make against Christianity have no basis and are encouraged by the lack of free thought and the opinions of radically prejudiced people twisting words to suite their purpose. As far as dishonesty goes, maybe atheists should look towards their peers and frontmen. Every dispute is based on ignorance of Christianity on both sides.

Do Muslims secretly know that Christ Jesus is the only way to God?

Not much else to say. I was writing it to my wife via text message, and it just didn't seem correct. But, then again I've spelled words correctly and thought they looked wrong. Just curious, so I can transitive it to something else like , " I need to have", if it is wrong.

I know not everyone does, but I see many questions attacking atheists and Muslims( followers of Islam), Jehovah's Witness, the list goes on....

Are you aware that the bible says not to be quarrelsome, and causing strife. It also says not to speak to people about the word, if they have no desire to be informed of it.

But refuse (shut your mind against, have nothing to do with) trifling (ill-informed, unedifying, stupid) controversies over ignorant questionings, for you know that they foster strife and breed quarrels. And the servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome (fighting and contending). I post this in hope that some may see light and manifest the( agape) love of God(YHWH) even more powerfully and set an example to others.

What makes you think attacking people will get them to change their minds? It doesn't work for atheists against us, why would it work in reverse?

I believe that multiple answer this question taking into account all of their sins in life or whether they believe that they are righteous or not. I believe that they forget that our God, is a God of grace. Our trip to heaven isn't based on how good we are, but rather that we are born-again and we believe in God love him and he loves us in return. I really question is, how many of you know this, And know that you're going to heaven?

Get so offended when you share the same level of conviction to your religion as them, if not more. Also why do they never respond to the questions you ask them, But rather demand you listen to their schmeil of how the bible is a lie and Islam is the true doctrine?

Don't they realize that I can say the same as a Christian? And I have power that I can manifest via the Holy Spirit at will, and they cannot manifest anything. Especially since their only prophet died God knows how many years ago, and Christianity has one in each church body.

I am just really having a hard time grasping how that works?

Atheist wouldn't you be pissed if I didn't try to convert you? I mean when crap goes down and everybody finds out that it is real... then everybody is going to be like "hey why didn't that jerk try to convert!"

Especially if we were friends or I had known you for a short period of time.

I think that's why Christ Jesus charged us with the Ministry of reconciling people to him!

I have a 40lb apbt mix with what I believe to be a dutch Shepard. It basically looks like a basenji with dark brindle fur, slightly less wrinkly in the face. She is 10months old.

Now she has been fear aggressive since 14 weeks. Until about a month ago, I found out if you play fetch with one of 4 toys of hers for 15 minuits she will be your best friend. Is this normal behavior for gaining trust? Do any dog breeds exhibit this behavior?

She has never full on bit someone, but she will push you with her nose and flea bite or nip your heels if she gets aggressive.

She is totally cool, calm and sweet with myself, my wife, and my stepdaughter. Recently with this fetch thing I have added my grandson, in-laws, and my mother to the list of trusted and loved people. That evey Christian used to be an atheist? God set up a system where a man that didn't know god must learn and then accept Christ to know god. Ever living christian is an ex-atheist! Omg! Mind blown!

Is it scary to know that a good portion of you are going to end up Christians, and you are the thick headed few that can't open your eyes past your ignorance, and learn to correct it? In my opinion it's just ignorant to not believe. What it the bible is legit, Jesus comes and your stuck here with the Antichrist, who is like a super hitler ruining your lives. It's just not logical to refute god and argue against it. It's a win, win. If its wrong your dead and whatever, but if it's right, you recieve eternal life and are rewarded in the afterlife fo the good things you do. And you don't wt killed in a lake of fire, because hell doesn't exist in the afterlife as many Christians openly interpret it.
