I am writing a story and I've been doing a lot of research about knees and what can happen to them, but I'm having difficulties with something. Can you dislocate your knee eventually if you have torn or stretched ligaments? Or is there a way for a person to have a slight knee injury and then eventually, if they didn't get it fixed, the knee will suddenly give way? What would that be called? If you know the answer to any of those questions, I would like to hear it.

I got her weeks ago, she's a normal gray and the store said she was 8 months old. She was parent raised. I brought her home, and put her in her cage. I spent most of the next few days talking to her, checking on her, and she even whistles when I come into the room or leave the room. She also whistles when I whistle back at her or when I wake up in the morning. After the first or second week I began to try to get her out of her cage, I left the door open for her, she would hop out onto a stick, but she would not let me touch her. After a lot of practice, I took her to another room so she wouldn't be distracted by her cage. She would be scared of me and run to her cage. When I took her to another room she let me hold her and let me pet her chest and her back. She even let my mom hold her. After the second time I took her to train in the other room she became scared of me. Ever since then she refuses to leave her cage, she wont let me hold her, if I put my hand in her cage to get food or to change water she flaps and screams. If she does leave her cage its because shes running away from me. She gets out of her cage, flies over to my bed and screams.

I love my cockatiel and even if I can't get her to be a shoulder bird or to sit on my hand ill still take care of her and try my best to make her happy no matter what. I've tried giving her spray millet and shes not interested in it. I just bought her a new ladder perch and she refuses to use it. She likes to sit on the bottom of the cage or at her food dish. She is not sick, she is an active bird and she sings when I'm laying in bed watching tv. The vet says she's fine.

What can I do to get her to sit on my hand or shoulder? She wont take any food from me and when I get close to the cage she backs away and freaks out. =( Is there anything I can do?

Hello there! I'm looking for tame cockatiels. Not parent raised ones. I have called pet co, pets plus, and petsmart. They either dont have cockatiels or will be getting them in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other places that sell cockatiels for not overly expensive prices. Perhaps in the Horsham or Hatboro area? Or is there a way to find pet stores in the area online?

I have dirty blonde hair a little bit past my shoulders. The event is prom and my dress is a halter top, I dont have a picture of it because its not on the site. I don't look good with an updo but my mom mom wants me to wear it like that and shes paying for it. My mom and mom mom both want me to to wear an updo and I hate my hair that way. I dont feel pretty with it even the slightest bit up, but they're forcing me to do it. I need my hair down because my face just doesnt look right with my hair up, its just not pretty. What can I do to have at least a little bit of hair down? It cant be half up and half down it has to be a full updo or my mom and mom mom will be upset.

I have a step father, but I consider him my father. Sometimes I dont even remember that hes a step father. We are very close and he is my hero. I can remember though that several times my boyfriend used to tease me about having a step father when he still had his "real" dad. He said that "well at least I have a real dad" Or something along those lines. That really hurt my feelings and I told him that he is my real dad, but he refused to accept it. How do I deal with that? Is there a come back I could make? Iv just been noticing it a lot more recently. People would ask if hes my dad and I would say yes and then they would ask why he has a different last name then me and I would have to explain that he is not my biological father. They would say "so hes your step father?" And I agree but I say that I just call him my father because thats who he is. And then they say "Ok so your step father then." And they ignore what I have to say. Even my grandmother does this. What do I do?

I have two adult zebra finches, the female laid a clutch of eggs. They hatched at around February 19th. Everything was going well, they came out of the nest at normal times and such. I have, what I think is a problem. The mother has laid a new clutch of eggs and stopped feeding the other birds. The birds are a little over a month old and I read that they begin to eat solid food around then. The babies will ask for food from the mom or dad and the parents will fly away and the babies would go and eat some solid food. But now when the parents wont give them food, one of their brothers or sisters will feed them. I didn't know fledglings could feed other fledglings. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? What should I do if there is a problem.

I used to listen to this song a year or so ago and I cant remember anything else about it except this line. "Dont hang around, dont call my friends, they wont know who you are!" And, to me, it sounds kinda punk, emo. (The actual music, not the lyrics) And I have googled it and Ive been trying to find it for days, do you know of it?

Whenever I try to get on to Photobucket.com it says Page Load Error. Does it do that for any of you? Or is it just my computer being funky?

I am overweight, by what I deem to be a lot. 70 or 80 pounds at least. I was going to begin a workout and cut back on food but I always have trouble making it a habit. I decided that I was going to keep it light in the beginning and then eventually when I start to see results I would pick it up even more and make it more difficult. Is this a good idea? How long, if I'm doing light exercises such as things in doors, until I begin to see an improvement in my weight? (I don't have a scale yet.) If you need more information please state so and I will add it. If you have helpful hints or tips, I am always grateful. Also, Im one of those emotional eaters and ones that do it when they are bored, do you have any tips for that? (besides putting down the fork, I want something to do with my time thats constructive)

I apologize for not having a lot of information, if I had more I would be able to google it and find out. I am trying to remember a song, it comes on the radio still, not too often but often enough. It is a man singing, I believe it is a country song. And in it, I remember one line that goes

"and this one's for you" When hes saying that he's talking about alcohol and how he's drinking some for her. It's not the one by Barry Manilo, in case you google it. Do you know the song? I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Ever since I was a little girl I can remember that I could not sleep at night. Yes I am scared of the dark, or rather, the unknown and sometimes it keeps me up, but it's not a common problem, mostly after a scary movie. Ive noticed that no matter how much sleep I get, once it starts to get dark outside I am immediately wide awake. Even if I get 3 hours of sleep and am tired all day, once the sun goes down I suddenly want to get up and be out and do things and no matter how much I try, I can not sleep. I have noticed that Tylenol PM helps me sleep but my father stopped buying it because he doesn't want me to use it to get to sleep and I can understand that. But it did not help every time. This sleep problem has not interfered with my life too much except for when I am sleeping over someones house or whenever someone wants to sleep at night, I am wide awake. I am not sure if this is insomnia and there isnt anything that I can see that would be keeping me up. I do, however, need to have the fan on and the tv on when I sleep. The fan for noise and to keep me cool, even in the winter and the tv for noise and some light. Do you know what could be wrong?

Ive wondered this for a long time and no I am not "trolling" or trying to get a rise out of people, I am serious. Ive asked this before to people online (not here) and some have told me he's a male, some have said female and some have said neither and some have said both. I don't understand if "we were made in his image" then how come there are two different genders? Does it say in the Bible? Or some place else? If so, could you quote it for me? Please don't attack the other posters, or me and please don't assume what religion I am because your answer will then be ignored and you will not be chosen.

I'm just curious, and of course you don't have to answer, but as an American citizen who are you going to vote for or who would you vote for if you could vote; Barack Obama, Bob Bar, John McCain, or Ralph Nader.

I understand that we may have done bad things in the past and may be doing bad things now but we're trying. And I never specifically did anything wrong that affected billions of people or people in other countries, to my knowledge and I assume none of my friends have either. I see a lot of times on the internet that really a whole lot of people don't like America but I don't really understand why. Do you know why? And please don't go into a hurtful rant, calmly state the sincere truth without attacking me or any of the other posters. Thank you.

I have another chapter and have gotten towards writing a third but would just like some opinions on this one. It's not permanent and as a writer, I believe, you should always be open to criticism and change. Please don't be rude but if you dislike the chapter then state why and what could I do to improve. He sat there and watched them. Yes they were fools and yes…he hated them. His slate grey eyes scanned the room as he took another sip of his raspberry wine. The light from the dim lamps halfheartedly walked towards him and wrapped its warm fingers around his body.

“Hn.” He said as he laid his glass down and gripped his chin. He clasped both of his hands together and laced his fingers in front of his mouth, a silent fire brewing behind his eyes.

His shook his head and his hair swayed every so slightly. Inside the bar, the air was humid and uncomfortable; the lighting was poor and the people were almost unbearable.

‘Why do I still come here?’ Perhaps he wasn’t a creature of change…maybe he found comfort in knowing the bar was always right where he left it.

Whatever the reason was, I’m not sure even he knew why. He sighed and grasped the bridge of his nose where his eyes were closest. Closing his eyes and standing up, he made his way towards the door, opening his eyes only so that he could make sure people would not run into him. He put his hand on the knob of the door, the metal was cold and he shivered inside. His fingers held tight to the knob and he turned it.

The door whined at him as gears were forced to shift and pull the latch from the wall. As he pushed the door open, a cold wind hit him and snow, falling from the sky, danced toward him. He narrowed his eyes, trying to keep the offending ice from blinding him. They clung to his hair and back like small white spiders longing for a friend. His feet left prints in the snow and he listened to the calming sound of ice crunch beneath his boots.

‘She would have enjoyed this,’ His inner being whispered to him as he glared into the darkness ahead of him. ‘It matters not.’ He nonchalantly replied back and continued on his path.

The small cobblestone road, filled to the brim with snow, led him down a steep hill decorated with houses. They lined the main road of the city and he hated it. The houses were all lit with small candles in the windows and they were sickeningly quaint. Children were in their beds sleeping, dreaming of better days and parents were sitting at the table discussing taxes, wishing for more time. He pulled his black trench coat higher, trying to shrug off the falling snow and keep his neck warm.

Puffs of steam rose above his head like angles whispered secrets. His right ear twitched and his lips were pulled tight into a thin line. Passing by a large house where, undoubtedly, a wealthy family lived he grimaced at the smell of the fire being lit. He listened to the sound of fir trees rustling together as the wind blew. Taking a turn at a street lamp, he stepped onto the snow. The road was slowly being left behind as he crept closer and closer to the bushes.

Small shadows of mysterious things danced around him but he refused to be afraid. Out of the squint of his eye he swore he saw a raccoon dashing out of sight. He raised his clawed hand in an almost feminine way, and shoved the bushes to the side bringing a small dirt path into view. The grass had slowly faded away after many travels to and froe in the same area. His boots thudded and rumbled against the hard dirt, and pebbles dug into the ground.

‘Hn…’ He thought to himself as he made his way down the small, homely path. Weeds and thorns wept toward him as he ducked beneath various vines. Creepers were slowly clawing their way into the path only to be stomped down by him. The path yawned wide and his house appeared from behind a multitude of trees. He sighed inaudibly and the dirt way slowly cracked into a marble path, stretching towards three handsome stairs and a black mailbox. He bottom of his boots gripped the stairs and he pushed up three times until he was at his door. Glancing left, he lifted the lid of the mailbox open and pulled a letter out.

His eyes widened slightly as he read the return address. Slipping it into a pocket inside of his coat, he flipped a latch on his door and entered his home. Kicking the door shut with his boot, he took off the trench coat he was wearing and placed it onto the coat rack. His shoes were then removed and he loosened his shirt buttons to relax. While he was making his way towards his dining table, the coat rack casually fell over and the letter fell out. He sighed and gripped the bridge of his nose where he knew a wrinkle would eventually form.
