  • How long will it take for Toyota to settle under the Tacoma Buyback Warranty?

Under the extended Corrosion warranty, Toyota has agreed to buyback my vehicle since the frame is horribly rusted. We got little info from the dealership. How long will it be before we settle with Toyota. Does anybody know? I plan on calling the dealership in a few days if we do not hear anything, I am just trying to get a rough time frame. Don't want to seem too impatient. Thanks.

  • What kind of card reader do I need?

I just purchased a Nikon CoolPix digital camera. I have a Dell Optiplex GX 160 computer. It is older, but has had little use.

I have Windows 2000 Professional, so apparently according to my camera's instructions I need a card reader. I cannot use the USB cable that came with the camera. I have a 1GB Lexar SD card. Does anybody have any suggestions? What is a USB 2.0 port? I am pretty clueless when dealing with computers.

  • Has anyone tried putting polyeurethane on worn-looking resin patio chairs?

I have several green resin chairs that are structurally fine, but are sort of "whitish" due to, I guess, oxidation. I know there is a paint for this from Krylon, but am wondering if poly might be an alternative.

  • Can you help word a sign asking people to not litter around a pond?

I live across the street from a fishing/skating pond, and for the last 12 years I have picked up the litter left behind by people fishing and hockey players. Besides the existing "Do Not Litter" sign, I am seeking creative, thoughtful ideas on the wording for a sign that would hit home with people who generally care less if they make a mess with "my" pretty pond. It cannot be offensive, or it'll anger people and they'll litter out of spite. Thanks for any good ideas -- especially any that have been tried and true.

  • Smoothing a poured concrete foundation?

I live in New England, and have a good poured concrete foundation. The inside wall is quite rough, showing lots of high spots and divots. I can easily remove the high spots, but wonder how to fill and smooth the result. Can I just buy some pre-mix and trowel it on? That would be great, if so. Not looking for a real finished look, just reasonably smooth. Not at finished basement.

  • Recipe for Gorton/Corton?

My grandmother used to make this pork spread when I was a kid. I do not have the recipe. I found all kinds of recipes over the internet. They seem to vary quite a bit. Does anybody have a recipe that they trust, and their family loves. Some of the recipes I have reviewed include milk and bread. I do not remember these to be ingredients. Thanks

  • A bowling ball hits a cue ball in space . . .?

A 10 KG bowling ball, going 10 KPH strikes a stationary 1 KG cue ball in space. After the collision, which for the sake of simplicity has no loss to friction, heat, etc., what are the speeds of the two balls? Specifically, is it possible that the cue ball takes off faster than 10 KPH?

  • Can freshwater claims be eaten?

I know of ponds that have tons of these clams, 3-4" long, and they just sit on the bottom. Easy to gather.
