2 AnswersBiology8 years agoWhich of the following is NOT a function of the nose?
a. warming of incoming air
b. acting as a resonating chamber for speech
c. filtering incoming air
d. detecting olfactory stimuli
e. gas exchange
So I am thinking it's e, despite the O2/CO2 exchange, because the actual exchange isn't done in the nose. The nose is more of an exhaust - it let's the gases in and out, but doesn't actually exchange them. My second thought it the speech one, b. I would really appreciate an explanation with your reply! Thank you!!

Normal pap, still need ultrasound?
Obviously I will be seeing and talking to a doctor, but in the mean time, just curious... I am 28, have 2 kids, with the same partner for a little over 9 years. Suddenly, I began to experience sharp stabbing pain during intercourse, and light bleeding immediately after. Every time, no matter how gentle, it happened. So I went to the doctor, who did an exam and pap, all seems normal, negative for cervical cancer. But I have to have an ultrasound this week. I don't understand what can be seen on an ultrasound that wasn't detected with the exam or pap? Could it still be something bad? Thanks.

2 AnswersSouth Africa9 years agoSymptoms before a + test?
I know you can't test before a missed period, and *typically* you don't have preg. symptoms until about 6 or 7 weeks, but has anyone experienced them sooner? I already have 2 kids, and they were pretty textbook pregnancies as far as when symptoms started, but right now I feel like crap - mostly nauseous and tired, lower back ache and bloating. My husband and I had sex during ovulation time, so it's possible to be preggo, just curious if it's even possible to have symptoms at like, 3 weeks??
