  • Question to "Life Source"...Is the 'dualism/law of opposites (that surfaces in everything) manifested...???

...out of loneliness of being ONE....OR...is this swirling substance, called "life" just a fun "hide and seem game?"

A fun question to "those who know". =)

  • The holgraphic mind/beam........??

Great stuff...I liked it so much that I'm putting it into Y!A twice!

It gives one something to think about! :) There's more to follow...

"The brain is a hologram enfolded in a holographic universe. We can view ourselves as physical bodies moving through space. Or we can view ourselves as a blur of interference patterns enfolded throughout the cosmic hologram.

This could be also expressed with the analogy that the brain is like the laser beam that shines through the holographic film to interpret the patterns. As it turns out, you can preserve the interference patterns of more than one hologram on the same film by using various different angles of projection of the laser beams.

Therefore, depending on the direction and frequency of the beam that you send through the film, a different hologram will appear. So, if applied to the brain, consciousness literally becomes the co-creator of the reality portrayed depending upon its angle of perception. This does not mean that if I am looking at

For an interesting 'slant' on enlightenment and the "Who/what am I" question...read on. *Wow*

    Something to chew on.

  • 'YOU' are the only constant in your 'world'...! (??)?

This question was "jogged' by another Y!A member. He had observed that he seemed to notice that 'he' was always with him wherever he went! =D A very keen observation, indeed!

This is at the very root of what some call "enlightenment/awakening".

To take note that there is a constant awareness 'following' you... It is an ALWAYS THERE presence!

As I said to him, even when you are asleep, you are fully aware that you have slept. If this were not the case, you would have huge blanks...I'm here, not here, kinds of blanks!

To continually stay in 'touch' this with this always-there-presence eventually, one dies to the ego driven sense of self...the suffering sense of self

This constant energy/sense cannot die. Your form fades (like that old Polaroid photo!), but energy is constant.

Words! These subtle, yet simple, concepts are so, so difficult to describe. We must keep at it...I guess. Ha ha.

  • To neutralize the dualistic nature of life...the main ingredient is...??

We are either attracted to or repelled by various events, things, people, etc. There is a physical 'tug-of-war' going on internally (thoughts) or physically...health, relationships, etc.

We wrangle with life...struggle against or for something, constantly! It is the way of life...thus, there is much suffering.

Some say, we have no choice...we are "being lived" divine puppets. Then there are those who say that there is a tiny seed (the main ingredient) that can grow into a vast reality... and that is...*awareness*.

We always have a choice to 'not attend to thought'... to not follow it. We have a choice to not react, blindly, to life events, we have a choice to forgive...many choices, but only through bringing awareness to our thought/actions.

Heightened awareness is possible. It may take a little more effort, but gets easier. If "Godliness" is to be experienced, if peace, joy, freedom is to be experienced, a new awareness must be present.

  • A "Higher" level of Consciousness is where Love can come into being...???

Christ, supposedly said, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do". Is it possible that we could know what we do?? I think it is possible...let me know what you think???

  • "Bugs in a bowl"....?????

I just remembered this little poem and wonder if anyone could provide the original piece? It goes something like this..."Bugs in a bowl...going 'round and 'round...climbing up and sliding back down..it's not so bad being a bug in a bowl!"

I just loved it because it reminds me of the 'seeking game' it's beginning frustrations and then...just realizing that..everything is all right...just as it is!

To embrace 'it all' is divinity...even the seeming cr*p. =)

  • We're buying a new house and the closing is coming up.....?????

As everybody knows this is a pretty major purchase. We are buying the house that is owned by a realtor. She buys houses , fixes them up and sells them. It's a great house and we are getting excited! The seller is rather unfriendly and doesn't answer emails, etc. She loves this house and actually offered to pay us a rather large amount to back out of the purchase!

Now that the closing is approaching I'm concerned about many details, important ones, that we have not considered (we don't have a realtor representing us!). I am not good at this type of thing...at all!!! My husband doesn't seem interested...period. He has a lot going on with his business, etc.

Does anyone have any important details that I could "take to the table"? Are there any "emergency" kinds of things that I should be done early on??

Thanks for any info. out there!!!

  • How is thinking we have control over our lives the same as rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic?

There are those who say "we are being lived"...Divine Puppets, so to speak. The "game" we are involved in...the comedy and drama are for entertainment purposes only. Without this dualism, we would live a "flatlined" existence. When one realizes this, a new freedom dawns and one lives with 'what is' as it is.

A certain 'hopelessness' may surface for awhile...nothing matters...that sort of thing, but so what? It's a free fall!

  • Perhaps "Enlightenment" is the fading away of...?

...the programmed personality (?). Since birth we are closely monitored by our parents...heavy programming begins to see that we fit into our society...our culture...our family. We lose memory of the natural, spontaneous, life that was born. We have little choice as to how we are programmed. By the time we are teenagers, on some level, we realize that our naturalness, our authenticity, has been stolen and some of us rebel. We usually cave in by our twenties and 'drone like' live out our lives in imitation of those around us.

A few, very few, start asking questions. These same few may discover that that natural, spontaneous 'self' still lives. They learn that deprogramming is possible. Ignoring the conditioned 'repeat' of programmed thought patterns, ignoring the repeated 'stories' and dramas arising, out of habit, no longer feeding an arising thought and keeping the drama going...this allows the natural, REAL you to imerge. Life becomes more 'movie like'.

  • Emotional Intelligence/Parenting taught in grade school...?????

I know our teachers are overloaded already...I also know that parenting, ideally, would be done in the home. It is obvious that is not happening in many cases.

It is possible to be more in touch with kindness, non-violence, caring about one another, etc. Why can't a subject on emotional intelligence be taught from the early years clear through highschool??

I know this would send better people out into an increasingly angry world.

We just have to wake up and be a little more creative! These senseless murders will continue unless action is taken.

  • We have fire drills in schools, why not "Columbine Drills"..?????

Our schools have to wise up. There are always going to be angry, mentally ill kids in our schools. Our students need to be prepared on how to respond to these emergencies!! These makeshift things (thank God) like holding a table against a door, just is not enough! There should be alarms set off as soon as the first shot is fired (hopefully before) doors should be shut and bolted, etc. There are ways to do this. We just have to be more creative!!

  • Should we hang with those who think they have found LIFE ANSWERS?

Some of the most obnoxious people are people who think they have found the answers to all the "Life/God questions. They can also mislead those who are still seeking...Is it possible though, to be too narrow to recognize that some have actually found real answers to man and womankind's suffering? Is it possible to have shut down, closed all doors to wisdom?

  • Is it possible that death is when the 'thinking mind' ceases and...??

...AND that 'simple awareness' (that which is always with us...even while thinking), NEVER DIES? Is it possible that "Eternity" has no duration and is in constant recurrence from moment to moment? AND (bear with me) that this 'simple awareness' creates from what "it" is attracted to, thus "the movie" with all the different chracters, plays on...for our entertainment, only?

  • We think we remember the past, correctly, our future can only be guessed at, so, what's real, Now?

We suffer as a result of the contents of our mind. Rumination, worry, worry! We are often eaten up by our remembered 'past' (and it is SO OVER that we can do nothing about it!). Our 'future' is often filled with hopes and dreams and rarely does it turn out the way we thought it would! If this is given just a little thought, I think it will lighten the suffering (mentally/emotionally), a great deal! So my question, is 'Now' all that we really know, for sure? I think to drop thoughts, not stop thoughts (that's impossible), to go about the life process, doing everything as usual, having fun, etc., but just watching the 'pasting' and 'futuring', letting the mind run on, endlessly...is something to 'think' about! :-) Someone told me once that "I", I mean "Me" is made up of thoughts...the ME that was born, free and unencumbered, this simple awareness, is really all that I am. The thoughts that drag at me, drag me down, are filled with "unnecessary suffering" .JUST SAY NO to them! :-)
