Didn't even his family say- he is beside himself?

They seem to ignore most of the Bible and focus on the Gospel of Mark, so why not simply drop the rest entirely?

Why continue to identify as Christian while denying most of its core tenants?

I suppose I'm just wondering why such humane and moral people want to cling to obviously archaic barbarisms. Couldn't you just keep Jesus and drop Christianity? Why not invent a new ideology around this loving god and humane ideals rather than attempting to salvage a heap of bad ideas from the Bronze Age?

Usually claims require evidence. Like if I said I'm keeping an invisible elf in my cupboard would that be likely to be accepted without evidence? Why don't theists require such emperical evidence for god, but would for any other claim?

Is Harry Potter also evidence for itself if millions simply begin asserting it on faith?

Isn't it kind of idolatrous to suggest a deity would be absolutely bound by things ancient men wrote?

I mean can't we vary it up a bit? You've got pagans, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews...

Our culture is falling apart. Islam is pressing into Europe now, and its all the countries in Europe have to hold it back. What is all this moral nihilism and materialism really doing for the west, except ruining it? How can a people be united and strong without some common vision to unify to?

Its not silly when Pat gets on TV and blames gays or witches for some new ill in the world? I find that the height of irony
