  • Determining the DNA sequence that codes for the amino acids?

Given the following sequence of amino acids, use the genetic code table to determine the DNA sequence that codes for the amino acids.

For the amino acid sequence: tyrosine - proline - aspartic acid - isoleucine - cysteine

    The choices are as follows:

    A. AUGGGUCUAUAUACG

    B. ATGGGTCTATATACG

    C. GCAAACTCGCGCGTA

    D. ATAGGGCTTTAAACA

When looking at a mRNA codon chart, how do I go about finding these codons?

  • Two more Stoichiometry questions...help?

Question 1: A student reacted 2.43g of Mg metal with excess HCl. What is the volume of H2 gas formed at STP as given in the following reaction, Mg + HCl --> MgCl2 + H2.

Question 2: What is the volume of the CO2 gas produced at STP if a student uses 0.100 mole of Calcium Carbonate in the following reaction, CaCO3 --> CaO + CO2.

    Thanks in advance.

  • A strange bus dream. What does it all mean?

Lately I've been having very clear and prophetic dreams. In my latest dream, I'm coming from work, getting out of the subway and transferring to an awaiting bus. I got on thinking that this was my bus home. However, as I'm riding it I realize I'm going the wrong direction. I never get off because I figured there's no point because I have no idea where I'm going. I tell the bus driver and he gives me a transfer that has the numbers 203 on it which I guess is the number of the bus and tells me when he finishes his route, show it to the next bus driver who will get on after him and he will take me the correct way. Which is what happens. The bus itself is filled with high school kids coming from school. The seats of the bus when I was going the wrong direction were regular bus seats but the seats going back home were made of classroom desks and chairs.

What does all of this mean?

  • Dynamic Contrast Ratio?

Ok, I know the higher the better but really, how important is dynamic contrast ratio? My LG LCD has 50, 000:1 and it's very bright and sharp but how much does that have to do with the adjustments that I made in the settings or dynamic contrast ratio? If I had an LCD that was say, 10,000:1, would there be a big difference in the brightness or sharpness of the picture?
