ADD & Adderall Prescription?
I was just diagnosed with ADD and prescribed Adderall 10mg BID. The 1st and 2nd day it worked superb (except that I felt my heart racing a bit)...today is the 6th day I've been taking it and I'm not feeling the same effects I was before. After taking it the 1st & 2nd day, I was able to sit at my desk and get a solid 8-10 hours of studying in...now, after almost a week, I feel as if I'm back where I started before taking the medication. I'm constantly having to get up and not able to pay attention.
Does this mean my body had already become accustomed to the drug and I need a higher dosage? Do I need to give it more time to work? Or, do I need to ask for a different type of medication?
Thanks for your input. I'd really like some knowledgeable responses. I hate just calling up my doctor and asking for a higher dosage/different medication if not necessary, I already feel like a drug addict for having to take this. I really hate being on medications!
1 AnswerMental Health10 years agoWhy Can't I see pictures on Google Chrome?
I've been having Google Chrome for a while and haven't had this problem until I recently cleared my cache. Is there something I need to download to be able to see pictures again? For example, I just went to OldNavy.com and I can't see any of the clothing. In place of the pictures, there is a little box with a red triangle and blue circle.
Thanks.
2 AnswersGoogle10 years agoVera Bradley's 2012 Agenda/Planner?
Anyone know about what time she comes out with the new planners? They usually run from August of the first year till December of the next year...so I'm wondering since it's summer if they're going to come out soon or if I should buy a different kind? Her agendas/planners are so awesome to pass up if they're coming out soon though!
Thanks!
1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoLuxury hotels near Hattiesburg or Meridian Mississippi?
My fiance and I are getting married this summer and are going to be traveling to Tennessee; however, we'd like to stop somewhere in Mississippi for our first night so it's not such a long drive. I'm looking for a really nice hotel to stay at since it's our first night as a married couple, but every time I try to search all I come up with is standard hotels. Anyone recommend anywhere super nice? Thanks!
3 AnswersOther - United States1 decade agoWho makes those new big headphones everyone is wearing?
I see a lot of people wearing big headphones around town with their ipods etc. They look like they might be noise cancelling and I'd really love to get some to study with, especially since I see girls with cute white & pink ones. Anyone knows who makes them, where I can find them, and about how much they cost? Thanks.
6 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoGrandmother made a loud sucking noise after death?
My grandmother recently passed away, and about 2 minutes after she passed...she made a really loud sucking noise. I'm a medical student, and I was wondering if this is something that has a biological reasoning behind it...or is it something people consider spiritual. I'm just curious if this has happened to someone else or if anyone has any knowledge on the subject. I've tried searching Yahoo/Google, but I'm not exactly sure how to type it in a search bar, I've tried several ways but can't get anything...
Thanks.
4 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoWhat is a good website to watch 90210/Gossip Girl before they get put up on CWTV.com?
It takes CW too long to upload the episodes of 90210 and Gossip Girl...is there a better place to watch these shows online? I've tried hulu.com, but they don't have it up either. It's just a direct link to the CW website.
Thanks a ton.

My roomate is driving me nuts with her boyfriend sleeping over, even after I told her I didn't want him to sleep over. He tries to make decisions for our apartment, & he's a non-lease signer. What's my rights with telling him he cannot come over?...I live in Louisiana.

3 AnswersFacebook1 decade agoI can't dissect my cadaver...?
I just started medical school & was excited to start anatomy and get to learn about the human body. However, when they cranked him out of his tank, I totally freaked out and didn't touch him the whole time. I couldn't get passed the fact that they actually want us to skin a human and slowly take him apart all semester. I was the only fainter/nauseous one in the class.I felt as if I was going to pass out and wanted to cry the whole time. On top of this, my grandmother is about to pass away and I have to go back to anatomy on Monday! Does this mean I'm not supposed to be a doctor, or is this a normal reaction and I'll slowly get used to it?
7 AnswersMedicine1 decade agoCan't open PDF files with Windows 7 and Adobe?
I recently had to wipe my computer clean to upgrade to Windows 7. I'm not trying to open a PDF file with Adobe Reader and it keeps saying the file is corrupt, although...I know the file is in fact NOT corrupt because the rest of my class can open it...is there something else I need to download? Or something else I can try to open it? I've already tried Adobe and FoxIt and they both say the same thing. HELP! Thanks.
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoBoil in groin area that won't form a head.?
I have a boil, or what I think is a boil, in my groin area. It's been there for about 2-3 months. I never noticed it before because it wasn't above the skin, I could just feel something below the skin but never paid much attention because it wasn't red or painful. It's recently become more sore, so I've been using some drawing salve that I got from CVS. It's now formed a visible bump above the skin, but it's still not red or will not form a head. I've also been using warm compresses & using antibacterial soap. I don't know what else to do.
My mom says I need to see a dermatologist and he may have to lance it. What exactly does that mean? He's going to cut open my skin where there isn't even a head formed?!
Also, I've just finished a 10 day treatment of antibiotics for a cold, so...I'm pretty sure that aspect is under control. Anyone have any advice & can tell me exactly how the doctor will "lance" it? Thanks.

2 AnswersBiology1 decade agoChoosing a Medical School & Paying for It.?
I've recently been accepted into 2 medical schools and am now having to make a decision to decide which one to attend.
School 1: Tulane in New Orleans, Louisiana
It's a private medical school and costs over $85,000 a year. I've looked up ratings and it's supposed to be the best in the state. There's a rural med program that students can apply for that says if you become a general physician (peds, internist, family, gen surgeon, or gyno) and promise to stay in rural louisiana for 5 years, you get a full paid scholarship. The problem is, I don't know what I want to be and don't want to sign up too early and change my mind.
School 2: LSU in New Orleans, Louisiana
It's supposed to be a good school as well, costs around $18,000 a year, and has the same rural med program.
Would you choose the more expensive, private school for 4x the money? Or do you believe that any medical education is pretty decent. Also, how did you pay for your med school and would you sign up for the rural med program if you had the chance?
