piercings at home? needle gauges?
I'm going to buy some hallow needles online but I don't know what gauge or type to get. I want it for general things like cartilage, Nose and lip or tragus and stuff. I know you have to have the needle a guage bigger than the piercing stud. But you should you use different gauges for different areas? I want to get maybe 5 sterile hallow needles what gauge could I get to pierce every thing in general? also what gauge stud should i get if i use a 14g needle for my lip 9 i know i should put a ring in to allow for swelling room0, and what metal is the safest i have sort of sensitive skin
Thank you in advance

7 AnswersHorses6 years agocontraception method for horses? mare? is there any?
hi, i want to put my horses on commonage but im afraid their are some stallions on it. I would really like to see them go on it and socailize with other horses and animals. ones a gelding and ones a mare. im worried about my mare though a lot of horses are being abandoned in the uk and ireland as of overbreeding so her getting pregnant with a foal wouldnt be good. i also dont think she'd make a good mother and shes kind of food possesive. i there anything i could give her to stop her getting pregnant? i feel its the most responsible thing to do :) thank you and please no mean/rude comments

2 AnswersHorses6 years agowhats the best thing to do?
hi, i live in the country side and me and my cousin own two horses together we go riding every chance we get but we cannot ride in a field as we live in a very wet climate and their already dug up or we'll dig it up more, so we make the best of what we have and ride on the road. there are a few cars but their used to them. most of the time the road is wide enough and its in the countryside field to the left and field to the right :). but its coming into summer now and its getting boring just going up and down the road... we can canter in some trails going off the road where it leads to farmers fields but thats it. not much fun. but we recently discovered a cross country course on the road. we know who the owner is (we think so) and they live relatively near to it. they are a boarding school and have a sand arena and a field full of Xcountry jumps. so we thought we'd just take a spin on the course... the gate was open. we've done this twice only but we wanna make it regular. We knew it was there before but not as big and much and their was horses their before now their gone and the gates open. We have thought about asking permission but, the owner might say no and then they'd be watching and keeping an eye on the course. i feel bad though. We've never seen her use the course before. So we doubted she'd mind. but i feel bad but if we lose this field/ course we'd have no where else to ride. my horse is to badly behaved and hyper for pony club. what would you? no mean comments

1 AnswerBiology6 years agohorse allergy?
Hi, I'm allergic to horses. But I love them, I have two but I have to take an antihistamine everyday. When I'm around them I get a stuffy/runney nose a head ache and my eyes start to water. I have asthma and I sometimes get wheezy. The antihistamines help a lot but taking them everyday can't be good for you and they don't do that good for the allergies. Is there anything else I could take or do?.
Getting rid of the horse isn't an option. Please no hate or base comments

2 AnswersOther - Pets6 years agohorse eye problems?
Hi,I have a 14.2 Connemara pony. Ive had him for two years this August. Last summer ( my first summer with him) he had a LOAD of flies around his eyes. His right one especially. He would have tears dripping down his face from both eyes and the were swelled up and red. Not knowing what to really do to help i went into a local tack store and I got him some fly gel? It was a gel to keep the flies away and I forget the brand. But that worked a bit but I couldn't put it on his face he hated the smell of it and wouldn't stay still. So I looked what to do up online and some people said a horse mask so I got him one and if worked miracles.I used it all the time in the pasture.it was from Horze.com
Now its winter and I went to visits him and his right eye was swelled up again.I rang the vet after two day cause it wasn't going do and he said it might be pink eye ornan eye infection. He gave me cream for rabbits cats and dogs with flusidic acid. I think. It work you could see the results the next day. I didn't his for five days until it was better and he wouldn't let me put it in any more. But a week later it was swelled up again. I called a different vet and she suggested acupuncture for horses with reoccurring eye problems so last week she did it the it was good all week til now. Its even worse than before and its crying again she said he'll probably need two treatments but its worse after only one week and all week it has been good. I'm going to call the vet again.can anyone help?
