  • Why don't UK hotels allow more than 2 children per room ?

I want to visit the UK with my wife and 3 children. My children are aged 4, 3 & 3. I've no wish for extra beds as my children are used to sleeping on the floor as we live in Thailand. What's the problem with UK hotels ?

  • Air fare costs to the UK?

Why does it cost approximately 50% more to fly from Thailand to the UK return, than flying from UK to Thailand return, on exactly the same dates using the same airline ? All the airlines appear to do it.

  • House consumer unit query.?

In my consumer unit the Neutral (In) cable is connected to the Earth bar. A wire then goes from my Neutral (In) on my RCBO and also connects to the Earth bar. I don't think this to be a good installation. Is it correct ?

  • If I invested in gold now, could I expect to receive a return in the future ? Would you take the chance ?

Money in a bank will only give you 4% per annum currently. Where as, gold has risen at 20% per annum. But gold is expected to crash. Shall I, or shan't I ?

  • Is a copy of a passport an original document once it has been stamped by a Notary certifying it as a true copy?

I'm led to believe that a certified copy is still classified as a copy even though it is signed and stamped by a Notary. Surely by having the copy authenticated the copy then becomes an original document. Right or wrong ? Source to answers would be appreciated.

  • I put my webcam on my computer and view myself but whenever I invite others to view, I get "not connected".?

When I try to view other web-cams I also get a message saying that their camera is "not connected", even though it's viewable with other people p.c's. I'm using Yahoo Messenger 8.1, as version 9.0 wouldn't load properly. The mic works and I can converse. I even got someone to sort it out but they failed. Thanks for all serious replies.

  • The Co-0perative Bank admits their mistake. ?

They gave me 20 Pound compensation and even transfered it to my account without me accepting it first. I wrote and told them that the 20 pound doesn't go near to what they have cost me due to their mistake and to remove it from my account. They say that they wont pay anymore and if I didn't want the money then I was to name a charity they can donate it to. The money doesn't particularly worry me but they also haven't returned an original document that I sent them. I believe they've destroyed it. Which means I have to be out of pocket and highly inconvenience again to obtain another one. Does anyone know how I stand on this. I've looked at the Financial Ombudsman option but they seem to be just mediators without balls.

  • Dual Nationality Thailand?

I'm totally convinced that Thailand doesn't recognise dual nationality. Am I correct ? If answering, please submit a web page that confirms what you say is correct. There is much speculation that Thailand does not recognise it but it's speculation.

  • Which Tax Office?

A few Question to be answered.

    (1) I live outside of the EU but I pay taxes on my pensions I receive in the UK. I have not received any Tax notification for last year or for this. Where or how do I apply to obtain my Tax notification ?

    (2) Because I live outside the EU should I be paying Taxes at all ?

    (3) Due to the law I now no longer qualify for Free National Health as I live out of the UK for longer than the permited time scale allowed. But if I still pay UK Tax , should I still be entitled to get treatment on the Naional Health if I was to fly home tomorrow ?

  • Am I a resident of the UK ?

I pay UK tax and hold a UK passport but live abroad outside of the EU. I'm not a resident in this country and only remain here as long as I qualify for a visa. I applied to open a Nationwide Flexicurrent account but they declined saying I'm not a resident of the UK. So they say I have to open a International account, which I do not want. My country of abode doesn't see me as a resident. My country of origin doesn't see me as a resident. So therefore where legally do I reside ?

By the way the reason why I want a Flexi account is because I can use the Debit Card to withdraw money here without suffering any add on penalties. Where as transfering money via banks does.
