I'm interested in wildlife, gardening, reading and art. I'm writing a web site on green issues - greenfootsteps.com - on all aspects of green living. I don't yet consider myself an expert as there's so much to know but I'm always interested in learning more about the environment and living in an environmentally friendly way.
Who uses vinegar to clean the washing machine or dishwasher?
Does anyone regularly use vinegar in their washing machine and/or dishwasher or other appliances? I use it in mine - so far no problems but I wonder if it might have a bad effect upon, for example, the rubber lining of the drum. I only use it diluted, of course! Any one else have success or problems with vinegar as a cleaning agent? Thanks!

I keep digging them up - but we are on the edge of countryside and they re-invade so quickly. Is there a quicker or more effective way? I won't use chemicals!

I know about Oxy bleaches but I haven't used them much. I haven't found them great for removing stains etc on kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
