  • What's this horse/cancer movie?

[Contains spoilers for an unknown movie...]

I watched it years ago on VHS, but I can’t recall the title and I’ve had no luck searching for it on the Internet. From what I remember, it involved a man who had to do restitution on a horse ranch. He befriends a teenaged boy at the ranch who has cancer. The boy dies in the end. I specifically remember a scene at the climax where the boy’s trying to blow out birthday candles, but can’t breathe and has to be rushed to the hospital.

That's all I've got, but I've seen people identify movies with less info, so I'm not without hope.

  • Sims 2 - Moving a sim to college...?

My teenage sim's parents are going to die before i want her to move to college. I know that when you move the last sim out of a household, all of the items in the house are sold and the sim moving out gets the cash. Does the same thing happen when the only sim in the household is sent to college? I really want all of the items to stay in the house...

  • iPod "other" storage?

Maybe a month ago, there were ~250 songs i wanted to add to my iPod. I didn't have enough room for them, so i started removing some other songs. As i removed more and more songs, the "audio" section of my storage got smaller (logically), but the "other" section got larger. It got to the point where i removed all 2,000+ songs from my iPod and there still wasn't enough room for the ~250. I had to delete some apps to finally fit it on. I just don't understand what the heck happened to the "other" section. Can anybody explain?

  • Title of a weird French movie?

I watched this movie in art class years ago. It's animated. There is little-to-no talking. It's about a bicyclist. I'm pretty sure he dies in the end. Or maybe not. There's someone killing the cyclists, i think. I also remember three women eating frogs. It was gross. And a woman massaging the cyclist's oddly-shaped legs.

Does anyone know what movie this is?

  • Is this a real movie?

I seem to recall a movie trailer from when i was a bit young to be watching it, but i don't remember the title. A guy and a girl met after each having been dumped by those they were dating. They decide to go out with each other to make their ex's jealous. It works and they each get back together with their ex's and then they realize that they'd rather be dating each other again. Does anyone know the title?

  • Would anyone actually call Prince William "William, Duke of Cambridge"?

I heard that that's the title he chose to go by after his marriage, so do people address him that way? It would seem odd to ignore the higher title, especially when he's not just any prince; he's second in line to the throne.

  • Problem with my sound card?

For a few weeks, i've been having sound problems with my laptop. Sometimes, when it's not plugged in, it refuses to play sound. Today, i had the same problem, but i plugged it back in and still no sound. Well, iTunes has sound, but Spotify, YouTube and even the computer's alert sounds are not working. I don't understand why iTunes would work, but not the others. Or why plugging my computer in would make any difference. Spotify says it's a problem with my sound card. What should i do?

  • Styles and bangs for long, straight hair?

My hair length is mid- to lower-back and it's very straight. I don't really want to get it cut because i like the way it looks. But i do want some ideas of ways to style it (braids, buns, whatever) day-to-day. Also, i was thinking of getting bangs of some kind because when i pull my hair back, my face looks fat; something to frame it would be nice. I don't like the only two styles of bangs i find when i search Google, which are the kind that go all the way across one's forehead (I don't want to deal with that) and the side-swept bangs (They don't flatter me).

If you have any ideas with links to examples, they would be greatly appreciated.

  • In what order do the British list the colors of their flag?

In the US, we pretty much always say "red, white, and blue". The French say "bleu, blanc, et rouge" (blue, white, and red). It's a pretty pointless question, but i'm just really curious.

  • Wasn't there something in "The Hunger Games" book about the guys not growing facial hair during the games?

Someone pointed out the fact that the guys are clean-shaven during weeks in the arena in the movie, but i seem to remember Katniss saying/thinking something about that.. Does anyone remember what that was or am i just imagining things? I'd look it up in the book, but i have no idea where it would be and my brother has my copy anyway.

  • Which laptop-selling company provides the best customer support?

I currently have a Dell and because of my terrible experiences with their customer support, i will not be purchasing my next laptop from them. One of my top priorities in my search for a new laptop is the quality of customer service. I'd appreciate specific examples rather than general statements, if possible. Thanks.

  • What unit of measurement are British road signs marked off by?

I've been told that they are marked off by kilometers. That makes sense to me because the British use the metric system, correct?

I've also been told that they are marked off by miles. That would explain why in two books I've read that take place in England, signs say "[number] miles to [city]", but I don't understand why the signs would say miles if the metric system is usually used.

    Can anyone explain?

  • "Your cell phone's name"? Anyone know how this works?

I saw this on Facebook today:

"This is interesting.. i got this from a friend.. Did you know your CELL PHONE has a name? Try this:

1st step: from your mobile number, take the last 3 digits. Example-780-496-9684 , take "684"only

2nd step: Write this @*[684:0] in the comment box below, replacing the 3 numbers with your own.

3rd step: remove the * then hit comment."

It definitely works and I'd like to know how if anyone has any ideas.

  • Title of movie soon to be released?

I saw a trailer for a new movie twice, but the TV was muted and I can't remember the title. The title is one word and I'm pretty sure I saw Nick Jonas briefly at the end of it... Any ideas?

  • Coincidence or computer amnesia?

First off, let me say that I have Vista and I know it sucks. My laptop started having problems and then gradually, they've gotten worse and worse. Dell's "fixed" it a few times, but there was no change. Lately, it's been freezing up continually; few websites can remember that I'm logged in; my Nook app let's me log in, but then says that I'm not logged in; and now iTunes shows that I have no songs even though I'm logged in. I'm assuming this is all just because my computer is dying, because all the problems seem too similar to be coincidence. I'd just like to make sure, though, because I got new CD's for Christmas that I'd love to download if the iTunes problem is separate from the rest of them.

  • Does anyone know anything about the mermaid migration?

I came across a few mermaids resting on a beach the other day and, as I rarely see merpeople in these parts, I asked them what brought them here. Unfortunately, it seems that I need to brush up on my merspeech; I'm not sure what they were talking about. I did catch something about a mass migration, though. Any ideas?
