  • For Christians: Thou shalt not kill?

This commandment is brought up so frequently in abortion debates, but never in any other situation. What about in cases of self defense? To protect your family? If your country orders you to? There's no asterisk here and most Christians I know are pretty gung ho about bombing other countries (for the good of ours, of course). They also love presidents who absolutely, unequivocally ordered wars that killed people. It seems like you're either against killing, or you're kind of OK with killing in some situations and are selectively ignoring this commandment. My question is: how do Christians rationalize this inconsistency?

  • Current hip hop song starting "Don't stop, told ya don't stop?"?

I can't find this song. It's in heavy rotation, but none of the local stations post their play lists. It starts out with a sample that sounds like (maybe) DMX singing "Don't stop, told ya don't stop." The sample repeats under the whole song. I don't remember much else about it and my search capabilities are limited as I'm at work. Heard it on the way home from the bar last night on WAMO 100.1 in Pittsburgh and I need to hear it again!

  • Why is your religious text the right one?

All religious texts are historically based (as in they mention actual, verifiable people and events), all have been followed by million of people and all followers are adamant that their book is right. Every religion ever followed has been the basis for good and the basis for evil acts. What are some of your personal reasons for believing your book is accurate and others are not?
