  • What classes should I take this summer?

I want to transfer from my college as soon as possible. I am conflicted with which classes I should sign up for in the summer semester which lasts 2 months as opposed to the fall semester which is about 4 months. I am presented with the option to take college algebra in the summer alone so I can focus just on that subject solely (I'm absolute dog sh!t at it) or I can take Literature & Composition, history, and human communications. English and History are the easiest subjects for me and I'm assuming human communications wouldn't be too hard of a class. This is my dilemma. Should I take the easier classes with possibly more of a workload in a shorter amount of time, or should I suck it up for 2 months and focus on math? Whichever route I don't pick for the summer, I will be doing in the fall. I'm aware this would be a cram course. I would take math in the fall, but I have put off taking college algebra for so long that I feel compelled to take it this summer, along with the fact that I'd only suffer for 2 months as opposed to 4 months. On the other hand the work would be more spread out if I took it in fall where there are 4 months, but I also wouldn't be able to take certain classes until I take math.

  • What math course should I take?

I am HORRIBLE at math. I'm signing up for my classes next semester and it seems my "easiest" choices are college algebra and math modelling. I've taken algebra in highschool so I have an idea of what I'm dealing with. However, I've never heard of math modeling before. Have you taken it before? Is it a hard class? Is it easier than algebra? Which do you recommend I take?

  • Should i go to university?

I want to be an animator/artist but I'm questioning if university is worth it. I can draw anything I want by hand with a reference, but still lack a lot of knowledge on stuff like anatomy. I don't necessarily know how to draw digitally either which is important for modern day animation...that's why I want to go to college. That way I can learn things I don't know, connect with other aspiring animators and artists, and build connections. I feel like I can't do all that at home. I know I can use Youtube, Skillshare, and websites like fivver to...but is that enough compared to a university?

  • When is a good time to move out?

I'm 19 years old. My parents have never let me have a job nor am I allowed to drive (something about insurance?). My parents have always done everything for me because they don't want me to stress about financial things, but this has done nothing but become a disservice to me because I feel like I can't do any adult things for myself. My mom lost her job this year, so my dad is mostly paying for everything. I have wanted to get a job since I graduated highschool, but my dad says that I shouldn't because I need to focus on college. Well, now I can't even go to college because my dad can't afford it (which is why I wanted to get a job in the first place). He says as long as I'm living under his roof I can't get a job. My sister tried to get a job at age 20 but when my dad found out, he flipped out. Due to this pandemic it makes things more difficult to find a job, but I feel the need to move out. I have been thinking about this for a year and have been doing research on the internet, but even then I'm aware that it's gonna be extremely difficult to leave my parent's house. I don't plan on moving out by the end of this year, but I'm thinking sometime in the next year or two it'll be best if I move out. I dunno if it's because of a post-grad funk, the fact that I resent my parents (due to family issues), or the fact that I'm growing up, but I've been yearning to leave my house...but I'm young, dumb, and broke so am I in over my head?

  • How do you play this game??

It involves two people and an audience. One person has to tell the person a message in a specific category like celeb names(or whatever the audience wants the category to be). The person who is being given the message has to guess what the message is. The audience is unaware of how the message is being given and essentially mind blown every time the guesser gets it right. I don't know what the name of the game is, and I forgot how the person is able to get the message right. Some of the words you'd say in the game is: Same school, new rules...man this is a tough one...you got it...old school new rules...vice versa.

  • Poshmark issues??

I signed up with my sister's invite code. I was supposed to receive $10 with posh credit, but I didn't see it in my balance nor pending. I went ahead and bought an item but expecting to get free shipping off my first order, but I had to pay.

  • How are people able to include outside characters that are copyrighted?

How are some shows/ books able to get away with using characters such as Cnderella, red riding hood, the princess and the frog etc.? I always see retelling of these stories particularly in children stories/ television. How are they able to get away with it, without violating any copyright laws?

  • May get kicked out within 24 hours?

This is long overdue, but I'm letting them know that I'm not going to college. We have different views in mind for my future, and I want them to respect that. I might get kicked out, but I can't do something my heart isn't invested in. Any advice or tips would be helpful.

  • My parents want to control my future...help?

I’m 18. My dad wants me to be a physical therapist because I suggested that I was considering pursuing that career last fall. I only said that because I knew it would be a safe choice for him to accept. I told him that I changed my mind and wanted to pursue fashion design because I love to sew and design. He said to worry about that after college. I was really upset because he would rather choose that I pick a safe choice over my passion. There aren’t colleges near me that offer fashion design, but I wanted to look around for an apprenticeship as an alternative. He refuses to allow me to work. As a “compromise” he said I could go to community college for a health care science certificate so that I can qualify to be a physical therapist faster (in 2 years time) instead of getting a degree. He filled out the paperwork for me to go to the community college this fall and all that’s left is for me to go to orientation and then take the classes. I’m hesitant to attend college. I have other passions as well that I want to expand upon in the case that fashion design doesn’t work out. (contortion/writing/animation). I feel a bit guilty because he spent time on getting me to apply to the college, and it’s been my mom’s dream for me to go to any sort of college. I thought about running away but I highly doubt that’s last long and would just make things worse. If I do end up going to college, I plan on changing my course of study because health care science just won’t work out for me.

  • What is the name of this movie?

There's a scene of a black slave who doesn't allow the slave owner's son to ride a horse. The child threatens to tattle on the slave for not letting him ride the horse, so the slave helps him ride the horse. The child ends up getting injured and the slaveowner whips the slave because he blames him for his son's injuries. I was shown this film in elementary and am very curious of the title of the movie.

  • Fashion summer programs?

I want to do a short term fashion program or a fashion program intensive. I want to improve my skills as an aspiring designer (i can sew dresses but i want to expand upon that and learn to drape and obtain other skills) and want to learn and be inspired by others in the program as well. I'm 18 so I'm unable to do some programs reserved for younger students. I'm hoping I can find a course by summer, so does anybody know any?

  • Do you work for someone as a designer?

I wnat to be a fashion designer and want to be able to design my ideas, but I'm confused as to if you work for a company or yourself. I want as much insight on this, I don't know if this question makes sense or not since I'm not sure how to properly ask it.
