A cast iron cake stand fell off the counter and hit the inside ankle bone of my left leg. It hurt so bad at first I couldn't walk but after I while it was fine. I limped the rest of the night and most of the next day. It will be one week tomorrow when it happened and it still hurts and twinges some. I ran for the first time Tues and it was hurting more after I got done with my run. My husband said if it was a fracture that I wouldn't have been able to walk at all. I'm just wondering how long a bruised ankle takes to heal? Is it possible that it was more than a bruise?

about 4 weeks ago our dog (min pin) would yelp sporadically. About 2 weeks ago she did it and was holding up one of her legs and so I started feeling them and found a big knot. We took her to the vet and X-rays showed a large growth on her bone (left front leg - mid-way above elbow on the ulna). Since then she's very slow moving. We have to coax her to get up and down off the furniture and she limps. The vet said it could be bone cancer but said we'd need a biopsy to make sure. We called and it's $800-1,000.....and I have no idea what it would cost if it's not bone cancer and they had to take her leg. About 5 days ago I was rubbing her belly and found a tiny knot (about the size of a mole) same left side and about 2 inches from her arm pit on her chest. Last night I felt again and it's about the size of my fingernail now. I guess we are just trying to figure out if we should even do a biopsy if we have found another knot. They did a chest xray when they did her leg xray 2 weeks ago and found no growths in the lung but he said they'd have to be 4mm in size to show up. Should we wait and see what this knot does??? We love our dog, but I hate to put her through the pain of a biopsy and spend a lot of money we don't really have if it's not really going to help her. Is there any advice you can give us?

I was going from a standing to sitting on the floor position and my knee twisted a bit as I was sitting down and it felt funny. The next day it was sore and by the end of the day I was limping. Monday at work going down stairs it would go numb and almost give out by the time I got to the bottom and I was limping again last night. My co-worker says I'm limping worse today. I really dont' have time to go to an ortho, but I don't want to ignore it if it's something I need to have seen. Any ideas?

I've been having headaches in the back of my head and my doctor determined it was my tendons that are causing my head to hurt. They are so tight it hurts to touch the back of my head sometimes. I also have tendonitis in my right wrist and bursitis in my right hip. I just wonder if these could all be connected someway. I tried to ask the nurse to ask the doctor and haven't heard anything back.

I have been diagnosed with walking pneumonia 4 times in the the last 5 months. I've never had problems like this before this year. I usually just get colds and things like that. I'm just wondering if I should be concerned that something else is going on or not?

How long can I expect this to last? The only thing I'm taking right now if Plygal (sp?).....it's an antibiotic.

We are thinking of adopting a 4 year old female almost full blooded German Shepard. She has been mostly an outside dog. She would be a house dog if we got her and my husband is concerned she might be difficult to house train at the age of 4. Has anyone had experience doing this? Was it hard or did they learn just fine?

My dr. told me that I had an abnormal pap smear but that was nothing unusual women have them all the time. Is this true? I'm being rechecked in about 3 weeks.

Went to the dr because I was so sick this week and my White count was 23,000....the nurses were like freaking out and hovering. they put me on antibiotics and I'm supposed to go back today and have it rechecked. Just wondering how much it should go down (it was checked on Thursday) and when to be concerned that something is could be going on?

It's not painful, but really annoying. I can literally see my thigh jumping. What's going on?

Our daughter is having what the dr's are calling a "contact allergic reaction" to something at her daycare. The daycare thinks it may be the latex balls they have. She had latex pacies as a child....can you develop an allergy to latex later in life?

I'm on day 3 and I'm still feeling horrible! My coughing is sounding horrible and my chest hurts!
