I'm kinda weird, funny, sweet sometimes, mean others, short tempered, patient, love kids, sometimes don't like my own though, other times I want to kiss their face off, some days I am fat, some days I am beautiful and sexy, some days I am inspired, others down in the dump, I can be bossy and submissive...overall I am pretty wishy washy and emotion driven, but I am working on all of that, its kinda hard cuz I am human and I often make excuses for myself like I did just now....pretty much you need to take what I say with a grain of salt....because that is what I do with the words of others...the only thing that is constant is CHANGE and that is something that my mouth, heart and mind spew daily, but without change I would never grow, so mistakes here I come...humble me and allow me to grow :o)

  • Christians/believers in God...what do you think..do you feel this way?

Just pondering....I am a Christian and many times I am told that I believe in something (God) that does not exist because there is no real proof.

However, most people believe in what science explains, even those who are not scientists - just regular every day people, blindly trust because many scientists cooberate the evidence, although most people are not trained and cannot understand the proof presented in front of them they still believe, whether it be the age of a fossil, the process of chemical breakdown, gravity, string theory, etc.

Anyway, my point is this, I believe in what scientists say and through researching, school, reading books and doing experiments I have found that most of what scientists say are fact.

I also believe that there is a God and I have seen proof in my own life through reading, researching, being taught and through life experience, now although others may not understand or see the same proof that I do....it doesn't refute the fact that I have found my own proof through my own experience. Other believers can back me up and cooberate my evidence.

I mean I know what I know, call me a scientist of God LOL and my research has paid off and I have evidence, the same evidence that other believers see/feel/touch every day.

I just think that SOME athiests who refute the existence of God are basically saying that if THEY are not privy to the proof then God is NOT REAL.......I mean as a Christian I would never tell anyone else what to believe or insult them for not believing like I do, I would try and guide them in the right direction if they asked me for info and encourage them to look for themselves. But really to non-believers I just try to be a friend and non-judgmental so that they will confide in me and so that I can love them, help them, let them help me...etc..

I see a lot of people posting questions on here and SOME Athiests going around answering and calling Christians names, saying we are gullable, or crazy, etc. I am not on here to try and make people believe or not believe or insult anyone. I am on here to answer questions, yet I find that the non-believers on here find this section as an opportunity to insult Christians and I am not going to lie, it bothers me, its just mean.

Its like some are saying that God causes all this hatred and wars and yet some are lashing out and making fun of people and can't even see they are doing the same thing they are accusing God of....some are purposely enticing people to anger and rage.

So you see where some of these atheists bother me and how I take issue with them, that is some of my background on how I feel about a few...

Do you think that even these mean atheists serve a purpose to help us see our own qualities that are lacking, to refine ourselves to be more compassionate toward them no matter how much their words hurt us? That if they really make us mad enough to use fighting words or insults toward them then it is more of a learning experience for us?

Christians I think we need them as much as they need us and maybe neither of us understand that?

  • A question for believers of God / Christians - When did you first feel God's presence in your life?

I would like to hear about how you actually felt the presence of God in your life and what it felt like when you noticed it for the first time. What were you doing?

    Thanks :o)

  • Christians - what is the message you receive from the book of Job?

Sometimes I feel like it isn't so much about Job as it is about his three friends, does anyone else feel that way?

  • To atheists who say that Christians are under mind control or they do not think for themselves?

Wouldn't it be more true that an atheist is more controlled than a Christian since the atheist NEEDS proof, they are limited to believing only what they can see. Whereas some Christians can freely believe something without needing proof at all? I would think that this is more FREEDOM than what an atheist has?

I am not trying to be ugly, I just wonder if any atheist has ever thought of it this way.....I am not insulting either, even though I have been insulted and accused many times of not thinking for myself since I am a Christian.

It seems logical that anyone who is limited by only what they can see is truly the one who is a slave, they are a slave to the material world and a slave to scientists who have to do all of the work to prove stuff exists FOR them.

  • Christians - do you think that there is ONE revelation of truth to all believers?

Or do you think there could be different revelations to each believer depending on their purpose?

For instance...if I truly believe that what I feel is the truth came from the Holy Spirit and it is different from what you, as a Christian, believe is the truth that you claim to have received from the Holy Spirit then do you assume that my revelation is not of the Spirit since it is not the same as yours?

And if you thought it was not the truth then would you say something to the other Christian? what would you say?

Please check back because I like to respond back and forth and get your total thoughts on a question. Thanks :o)

  • The bible and science?

Does anyone think it is possible that "666" the number of man recorded in the book of revelation...could be linked with...6 protons, 6 neurons, and 6 electrons which form the element "Carbon" which is the basic building block of life on earth?

"Carbon-12" is made up of the 6 neurons, 6 protons and 6 electrons and the number 12 is also repeatedly mentioned in the bible, 12 disciples, 12 nations, 12 is usually associated with healing...

    Revelation 22:2

down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

Just wondering if anyone else has made this coorelation?

  • As believers do you think you have the knowledge to distinguish good from evil?

It does say in Genesis 3:22 that God acknowledged this knowing. But is it true that even though we know we can not distinguish one from the other because we are NOT God? Is this the main issue with all humans, that we try to "judge" one from the other, this is why we were removed from the Garden?

So, do you think you know who is good and who is evil? Do you think that as a Christian you can tell someone else that they are sinners? It would seem that if you do this then this is the main thing stopping your re-entry into the garden?

  • meaning behind Jesus's death on the cross - how many believe this? As a Christian if you do not - then why?

Many people want to believe in God and even "worship" on Sunday in order to convince themselves that everything is O.K. But they also want this "god" to be something they themselves can define and serve according to their own terms and understandings of things, and personal benefit (actually, they want God to serve them so they can have His "entitlements" and temporal blessings). But they are unwilling to "lose" their life for the sake of the Gospel (Joh 12:25). God will not accept anything less than 100%, nor will He play the game—the same as He refused Cain's offering of what he himself grew in Genesis. Only through a blood sacrifice such as Abel offered, can there be life. And to shed one's blood means to give up one's life and one's own exclusive right to exist (in the individual's OWN strength and power).

We must surrender our thoughts to God. The water (or thoughts) had to first be changed to wine. And then the blood (which is the individual's very life and disposition), had to be sacrificed back to God. No other sacrifice is acceptable. That is the great eternal object lesson that Jesus taught when He shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary—only Christ's blood can save and remove sin (Rom 3:25). Our own righteousness will NEVER be acceptable to God

  • What would you think of a woman who was not married but lived with her boyfriend for over 5 years?

If they were genuinely happy, each had children from a previous marriage and they made a good home together. Do you think that it is inappropriate of her to stay in a relationship and raise their children in that home all while he was never planning on marrying her and said so? why or why not? What if the children wanted them to get married and he didn't see the point in it? What would you think?

  • Hummingbird/Butterfly Garden question?

I want to put a few plants and/or bushes on my deck that will attract Hummingbirds and/or Butterflies. Can anyone give me some ideas on what to put?

    * I need something that can be contained within a pot since it will be on an overhead deck

    * I have a problem with wasps so I don't want to put anything that will attract wasps or bees

    * I live in New Orleans, La. not sure if that makes a difference or not.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks :o)
