Don't atheists take just as much comfort from believing that death equates stopping...?
...as Christians do in believing in a Heaven afterlife? I have heard countless atheists say, "I don't fear death because I will be dead and therefore won't care."

I was raised in a Christian-ish environment, but never really bought it. Became a very staunch anti-theist in my early twenties. Now I've settled on something kinda like pantheism, but I still identify with atheists for the most part, except the whole condescending thing.
