  • Can I be held liable for for what is posted on an internet forum?

    I run a small automotive based internet forum and one of the registered members there posted a negative experience he had with a service provider. Now that service provider is threatening to sue me and have the web site removed from the internet based upon the claim that his business has suffered because of this particular review.

    So, am I liable for his loss (if in fact he has experienced a loss) if the statements made by a registered member of my website are true, meaning not libleous?
