This year Idaho suffered through severe drought and wildfires. With the cost of hay skyrocketing, people are giving away horses, turning them loose in the wilderness, and starving them here in our area. I have watched herd dispersals of foundation QH go for sickeningly cheap prices and been on board with rescuing starving ones. Idaho is also one of the 5 states still left without more stringent abuse and neglect laws. My question is, what is it like in your area? It is a sad winter in the horse industry here...

I live with 3 other people and one of thier friends happens to be my ex-friend. There is no possible way to make peace with this person which makes it difficult to even be in the house. My roomies are uncomfortable in this situation as well because we are friends too. I don't even want to go to the house because I don't want to make my roommates uncomfortable while she's there. At the same time, she's showing up very frequently unannounced, making the situation even worse. I'm frustrated so I'm just burying myself in work. I need some neutral advice.
