A lot of colleges are no longer requiring SAT scores, and I’m curious as to what they’re really looking at. I know a lot of factors contribute, but I’m curious as to what more I should do given what I’ve done in hs thus far and I’m in my junior year. I have three AP’s under my belt, two I’m dual enrolled for and one I got a 4 on the test, I intend to take three more during my senior year. I have four years of lacrosse, a year of boxing, debate & speech, art honors society, French club, working two jobs simultaneously, about 10 hours of community service, I did a government funded russian language program on a college campus my freshman year, and I’ve taken french for 5 years. I have a 3.4 gpa that I want to raise to a 3.6, and a 1050 PSAT score, which I didn’t study for, that I’d like to study and raise to a 1200-1300.  With all of this- what else can I do or work on to make a better college application? I’m 16 going into my junior year, I’m in a few ap classes this year and am doing dual enrollment and feel as though I need a new laptop to complete my work. I’ve never really used one all that much, I could complete most of my work on my phone, but I think especially considering I’ll be online this year it’s long overdue that I get a laptop for my schoolwork. I have complete intent to pay for the laptop myself- and my paychecks are usually pretty hefty. My issue is- I need to save for a car as well and can’t pour all of my money into a new laptop in one go. I would very well be able to pay off the laptop over a period of time- say 12-18 months and I wouldn’t mind paying interest on it, but sellers such as Best Buy do 18 month financing with no interest. My issue is that one- I’m a minor- two i would have to apply for a credit card of some sort and I would like to get this laptop on my own without assistance from my parents. Any ideas of where and how I can do this? 

Game time is different, contact rules are different, field size is different, sticks, balls, calls on defense and attack, everything is completely different. Women’s lacrosse is incredibly DIFFERENT from men’s lacrosse, why is this?? I’ve played for three years and have always wondered but never have been able to get a decent answer.

I was always curious about this, are colleges, generally, more concerned about letter grade and gpa? Otherwise, are they more concerned about your contributions to the school, society, and your overall SAT score? For example, I have mostly B’s and a C, but do field hockey and lacrosse, community service, French club and competitions for my language as well and take part in school sponsored events. I also have been taking French for almost four years now and am planning to pick up German and have the likelihood to score decently on my SAT’a especially with the amount of prep i’ve done.

So, I’m trying to lose weight. I’m currently 5’5 and 210, and my doctor believes a healthy weight for me would be 190. My issue is I can’t stop myself from eating, I can do the exercise, it’s just eating. No matter what I do I can’t stop myself until I finish what I’m eating. I’ll start a bag of chips; put it away, then end up eating the entire bag. I have no idea why, it’s not like I have zero self control, because I can stop myself from doing anything else except eating. It also doesn’t matter if the food I want to cut out is in the house or not, I always find a way because it’s jusy an overwhelming urge that I NEED to have it. It’s just becoming extremely difficult and annoying and I don’t know what to do anymore, please help.

I haven’t gone through anything traumatic lately, this actually has just happened for me all the time. I’ll come up with these scenarios in my head that usually involve something traumatic or something negative and my heart will start to pound and my chest will start feeling weird or My blood will start to run cold or i’ll get This weird feeling in my stomach. It lasts a while, maybe half an hour an hour or all day and I just don’t know what causes it, I’ve never went to see a therapist or doctor about it especially since I’m young and don’t want to be open to my mother about this kind of thing.

I have a clear retainer, and my ortho made a cut on my top pair where the front of my gums are. I properly wash the retainer, I treat it right, and I wear it as directed, but there’s a crack stemming from that cut, and it’s starting to get worse, I’m going back soon, but I’m scared they’ll charge me for a new top when I don’t have the money.

I used the baking soda method and it fizzed, but I’ve been getting a regular heavy period, and I’ve also had no symptoms, I would be five months along now and my stomach isn’t hard and my body really isn’t changing I’ve just gained a few pounds from over eating. Opinions?

I had intercourse over three months ago, and I’ve been getting my period normally, my stomach isn’t really changing but I have gained weight. May I be pregnant? My period has been extremely heavy and there has been a lot of clotting, I just get really anxious over random things. My boyfriend didn’t get fluids in me, but he didn’t use a condom?

My mom sneak some into my room and takes my money sometimes, I'm 14 and the $55 dollars she took was money I was saving for my trip to Vegas in the summer with my grandparents, in the case i would want to buy something, and I was going to use some of the money for flowers for my significant other on Valentine's Day. I'm not angry about her taking the money, she can borrow money all she wants as long as she pays me back, the problem is that she doesn't tell me she's taking it, she just goes and she's my money without even asking, and I sure as hell have never stolen money or borrowed money without asking, so why can she?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while and his dad wants to meet me. I don't know how to make a good impression because honestly but I don't know how I can with bright purple hair, and generally dark clothing, I mean obviously I have some light hearted and nice shirts I can wear, I just don't know what to do about my hair. Or how to make a good impression honestly, parents usually love me, but idk about his, any ideas?

I've always used a brush, and I felt that even though I've cleaned it throughly it's very unhygienic, are there other, better ways to pleasure myself, besides this, and without actually buying a dildo?

Yes, for those who're about to say "oh my god why would you do that" most SEMI-PERMANENT DIRECT DYES can be left in for long periods of time without causing much damage, speaking from someone who has been dying their hair for over two years, the reason I ask this is because I have no clue if this specific dye can be, is because it does have alcohol in it, and I haven't read much about this dye before ordering it. Most dyes I've used are conditioner based, and the alcohol seems very apparent in this dye, I can smell it more.

I start school tomorrow and I'm just looking for tips to make life easier.

When I was that I old I wouldn't dare be caught in justice, I thought and still do think it's too girly and just for 6-10 y/o's around 10 or 11 I stopped shopping there completely and started shopping at h&m, hollister, Victoria's secret, places like that. I also was an "early bloomer" and started puberty at 8 or 9, so really, their clothes stopped fitting me. Besides, the clothes there are so much money! $30 for a shirt!!!!?!?? I can go h&m or old navy, hell even Burlington and get myself 2 or 3 nice shirts with that money, but anyway, do girls that age even shop there anymore, because by that age I was very mature, I was mistaken for someone my age and older. (15-17)

Honestly they make me want to cringe, yes when using mascara lashes clump together, but I find lashes clumped like that to be disgusting. Nothing against you if you like this look, I just honestly don't know why they're "attractive" or even a trend, can someone explain?

My friend and I are huge weebs when it comes to black butler, and we're more than excited to watch book of circus, does anyone know when it may be out on Netflix, because I don't feel like looking for a website to watch it on.
