Love me or hate me, thank you for taking the time to read a little more about me. I have been up and down the economic ladder, born in a silver spoon family, living on the mean streets because I could not be the debutaunte they wanted. Currently I am a married mother of three, two boys, one girl, two teens, one preteen. In addition I have given up a child for adoption and had two others for family members. Through these six children we have covered an encyclopedia of parenting issues and we aren't done yet. I am also a practitioner of Witchcraft, but not a follower of the Wicca religion. I am a Hedgewitch Cynic Sandwitch of the Bologna tradition with a strong Romany heritage. All that and $4 will get me a latte at Starclucks. I have very strong opinions and no problem sharing them. I do not assert that my way is the right way on any answer, for me, its only way. Due to the fact that not everyone is me, my way doesn't work for all. Contact me by email at your own risk!

  • What are your solutions for the Ten Threats?

The ten threats identified by the High Level Threat Panel of the United Nations are these:

    1. Poverty

    2. Infectious Disease

    3. Environmental degradation

    4. Inter-State War

    5. Civil war

    6. Genocide

    7. Other Atrocities (e.g., trade in women and children for sexual slavery, or kidnapping for body parts)

    8. Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction

    9. Terrorism

    10. Transnational Organized Crime

80-90% of the information needed to address these threats is not secret.

I often see people talking about the need for change and for solutions to global issues. Well these are the ten biggest world issues so I lay before each answerer a challenge. Pick one (or more if you think you are up to it) of the ten threats and tell what your solution to the problem would be. The catch, your solution to one problem cannot contribute to the worsening of any of the others.

I will not let this go to vote, a best answer will be hand picked.

  • Which is more important to you?

When you are posting answers here on YA! which is more important to you:

    A) Posting a large quantity of answers to rack up points

B)Posting quality answers that are informative and on-topic.

  • Did you find the Hornswoggle beating offensive?

Yes, I know its scripted and the little guy most likely didn't get so much as a scratch on him. However I found this to be an new low for wrestling and found it quite offensive. This was not a wrestling match nor even a pretense of one. This was plain and simply the staged abuse of a human being. There was no reason for it.

Now I do not mind a good abusive match such as some of the tortures Mick Foley put himself through in his career, but abuse for the sake of abuse, especially as it was staged as the abuse of a son ordered by his father (even though both are adults) especially using a child-sized wrestler to be quite offensive.

If you agree, post why. If you disagree, post why but without insults please.

  • When you ask a question are you looking for the actual answer or one that confirms what you already think?

Too often on YA I have seen people pick best answers that did not actually answer the question. So I wondered now often posters are looking for a real answer, an answer that agrees with them, or just looking to give points to their friends. Be honest, which category do you fall into? If you choose answers for different reasons, then put that in your answer. Most detailed answer wins.
