When you become a United States citizen and are "sworn in," do they say anything in particular or just "congratulations"?
2 AnswersImmigration1 decade agoBeijing Olympics song?
It's not "welcome to Beijing", it's more upbeat.
It looked like a pop band was singing it, they were singing it a little while ago during the closing ceremony.
all I remember was the chorus was "Beijing Beijing, (wo ha?) Beijing..."
5 AnswersOlympics1 decade agoDo You Think I Can Learn This Awesome Dance?
My best friend travelled to Mexico and sent me a video of her looking very nice and doing a cool dance. I soooo want to learn it too. The song is neat too! Can I? Can I?"
12 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhy are there atheists in the religion section...

Seriously, there's an atheism section, why not stay there?
Put yourself in their place and imagine me an answer.
Also, I'll be gone for a week and will be unable to promote the petition to feature Debra M's last question, so please...
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoObama said we should tear down the walls between Christians, Jews, and Muslims but?

22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoGod won't destroy the earth by flood, but then what?
Does it actually say "God will next time use fire to destroy the earth" or is that just the assumption, since fire is the opposite of water?

4 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoWere babies the reason why Ron Paul droped out of the race?
He seemed pretty secure in his idea of the Ronvolution. Yet he mysteriously dropped out. Even more mysteriously, a baby was born right before (and after) he dropped out.
Was he being muscled out by the powerful babby lobby?
3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat's the difference between Americans and New Yorkers?
I've heard they're similar, and everyone I asked said they were like the same thing. So what's the difference? Do they follow the same President?
speaking in a strictly religious and spiritual sense of course.
This is in response to the flood of "What's the difference between Catholics and Christians"
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoJews, please explain how reincarnation works?
So, I understand that reincarnation is a part of Jewish theology.
What I don't get is, when are you reincarnated? Do you just not go to sheol, and go in for another round, or is it like you go to rest then eventually make you way back in there?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is the difference between these college majors?
What is the difference between: biomedical engineer, medical engineer, bioengineer, and biomedical sciences?

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoTo theists who accept science?
Now, I and most people I know don't have a problem with the big "controversial" science topics, such as the Big Bang, evolution, and the age of the Earth.
To theistic evolutionists, evolution is the means in which God used to create people.
But then I had a thought.
How is this thinking any different than saying "The buildup of static in the air during the rain and the surge of electricity is just the means Zeus uses to throw lightning bolts"
So what is the difference?
(Please, correct me if I'm wrong about Zeus using lightning, I haven't had the chance to read up on it)

Name one of the four New Testament Gospels. If you don't know, guess, but DON'T cheat.

12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHave we confused "my right" with "the right thing to do"?
Everyday, you can find anyone justifying anything with "it's a free country." This forum is a microcosm of that. If someone asks a question specifically intended for one group, someone will undoubtedly answer "I can answer, this is a free website" then offer nothing else.
But having the right to answer doesn't mean you should.
So what do you think?
religiously speaking of course.
