  • How to affix backdrops to dessert tables...?

This is in regards to the backdrops for dessert tables. I get how to make the different types of backdrops, but how do you affix them to the wall or table or ceilings? If you are in someone else's home you can't very well hammer nails or thumbtacks into their walls. If tape is used what type is best so the decorations don't fall off. I know there are freestanding ones made from PVC but what about the ones with balls hanging from the ceiling or streamers attached to the walls. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • Ordering items located in Hong Kong on ebay?

I have been looking at some cake supplies on E-Bay (for instance: fondant cutters). I noticed that there are a lot of items that are located in Hong Kong listed at ridiculously low prices at very low to zero shipping costs. How can they do this? Has anyone ordered similar items? Has anyone ever experienced any problems? Is it legit???

  • Frosting fell off the sides...?

I tried making one of those new cakes that is covered with rose swirls all over. Problem is the roses soon started slipping off the sides! Disaster! The cake was refrigerated overnight before I frosted it, could this have been the problem...the crumb coating underneath seemed to be kind of damp under the swirls...I'm afraid to try this technique again! Any tips are appreciated...

  • Attention Mona Vie addicts...Welch's grape juice is better than Mona Vie...?

I just read an article in the Men's Journal about the healthiest juices out there. They sent 14 top selling juices to a lab and Mona Vie didn't even make it to the top 9. They even said Welch's contained more and better properties, so it was a waaay better buy. Compare $4 to $30. How do you feel about this?

  • Oscar Time: Do you think Sophia Loren was was high last night at the Oscar's?

I love Sophia, but I thought she looked terrible. Definitely has had some bad work done on her face and she was definitely on something. So disappointing!

  • Is anyone else dismayed with Coach handbags?

Two years ago my husband purchased me a Coach bag for our anniversary (it was part of their anniversary collection) the cost was close to $500. I only used this bag occasionally (it's still like new) and it recently broke. I returned it to the store of purchase and they sent it out for repair. I received it back in the mail with an apology that it could not be fixed and an offer of a 40% discount. I find this absurd. A $500 purse should last longer than two years and to offer us only a 40% discount is ridiculous. I am completely dismayed about Coach and their products, I now believe they are overrated. Am I better off buying the $40 knock-off's in downtown? Perhaps those purses would last longer than two years. I am so very sad that my anniversary gift has ended up in the trash and my husband is furious at this outcome. I also have another of their bags ($400) that is only one year old and it has some weird fading going on with the fabric. I don't know what more to say except that I am disgusted with the Coach products and will no longer be purchasing them in the future. Anyone else feel this way?

  • Does anyone remember this 1960's vintage candy?

It's fun to see all these vintage candies still available and I remember most of them as a child (born 1960). One candy I haven't seen again though is Candy Lipstick. I can remember it so vividly. It was kind of small and the base was a gold foil wrapper and the lipstick tip was a magenta color. The consistency was a little medium-soft and as you licked it it grew creamy and you were then able to rub it on your lips like lipstick...so yummy! I can almost smell and taste it!

  • Does anyone remember this 70's Halloween puppet movie?

I remember back in the 70's there was a puppet movie that used to come out during Halloween. The puppet animation was similar to the Rudolph the Reindeer movie. It had all the usual Halloween characters including Dracula and The Werewolf also during the Halloween party there was a cool skeleton band playing a song called "Paper Mummies". Just wondering what happened to it and if anyone else besides me remembers it... or knows where I can find it. Thanks!
