  • Doesn't it annoy you when...?

Doesn't it annoy you when someone will say something bad about Obama, and a Lib will fire back, "Well, Bush did it!" You are implying two things. First, that since i criticize Obama, I must be a Bush supporter, and second, that because Bush did it, it must be okay for Obama to do so.

Please don't insult me. My mother always told me that two wrongs don't make a right. So we are using the logic of a six year old to justify Obama's actions?

Not only that, but just because I dislike Obama DOES NOT mean that I like Bush. Is the world more than black and white for Libs?

  • Can WE really be to blame?

In an advertisement on this glorious Y!A site promoting a quiz site, it claims that the average IQ of Americans is 98. What an embarrassment! Then we wonder why this country's economy is in shambles right now!

    Thoughts?

  • Why are you a Democrat or Republican?

For me, I wouldn't consider myself either. I would consider myself a libertarian though, which tends to put me in the right side of the political spectrum. Economically, I am a libertarian because I believe less government intrusion in our pocketbooks is better for the economy and better for the citizens. I also believe in Economics and support it being the foundation of our economy. Socially, I believe in the personal freedoms of all people, so long as you don't violate the private property rights of another person, period, whether it is abortion or gay rights or religious freedoms.

  • Monday Night Fantasy?

Should I play Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers? My gut says Rodgers because of NO lacking pass defense and GB outstanding corners. But then again... Brees can throw to anyone...

  • Can anyone defend Obama?

Can anyone defend Barack Obama's and the Democratic Party's ideas for economic policy? It seems that Democrats think the only way to fix a problem is for government to fix it, financed by the rich and businesses. Obama pledges $1 trillion in new government programs. And this will make our country better off?

Oh... try to defend Obama without comparing him to McCain (who you compare to Bush.) This isn't about McCain.

And I will quash any one-liners about the $750 billion bail out... this is a liberal idea that a true conservative wouldn't support. Bush and McCain are neo-cons, which is another reason why I don't care what you have to say about them.

Everyone has heard the smear McSame... but does everyone know Obama's plan for Iraq? I doubt it. What is he really running on? The ways he can really fix this country so that it will be better off in 4 years (or 100 years), or the idea that Bush was such a terrible guy that anyone could do better, except McCain because he acts like Bush?

  • Delinquent Credit...?

Okay... so my wife forgot to make a payment on a small retail revolving account. We never received anything from the store, so it remained delinquent for 2 months until we got our credit reports (we are trying to buy a house). Is there any way we can call the lender and ask to have the status changed from delinquent to current on my credit report (and still pay the late fees of course... it was our fault), or is my report set in stone?

  • Business jobs?

I have a business administration degree with a minor in finance. I love business/finance, but have found that I dislike the "office" setting. That is, hate being confined to my desk all day. It is not an anti-social thing, its just I hate being cooped up. Any ideas of some jobs that are in or near my field but do not mean being stuck to the computer all day? I would love to own a small business, but that takes a small fortune to do so.

    Any ideas?

  • So Nader now for '08... might that seal the deal for McCain 09-13?

wow... if anyone thought the Obama/Clinton machine wasn't liberal enough, this might be more up your alley. Ralph Nader announced his candidacy for President, yes, of the United States. He will probably take the far left vote away from Obama/Clinton and could possibly sink the big D ship for the election. Nader could be McCain's best friend...

  • Anyone else agree with Glenn Beck?

His theory is that people are drawn to Obama because of his honesty and charisma and not his policy. I know I am. I am a conservative, but I could see myself voting for him in November, even though he wants to increase spending by $250B (that's b for BILLION!!! - and I though our current deficit was bad). Any thoughts?

  • Government enforcement of God's law...?

Let me be more specific... I am a devout Christian and I believe the laws of the Bible should be lived. However, I believe God gave us the choice to follow him or not, and passing legislation to force everyone to abide by His laws is not what God really wants, sorry Huckabee. A prime example is gay rights. Although I believe homosexuality is wrong, I do not think it is right of me to support legislature that would ban gay marriage. It is up to the individual to make a choice, and government should have no hand in that.

Are there any other Republicans who feel this way??

  • Why hate religion?

I have read many different posts from many different people with many different religious/lifestyles. One thing seems certain, though, that people who consider themselves as "not religious" tend to hate those who believe. Personally, I believe that being athiest or agnostic is still a religion, but I suppose that is up to the interpretation of the definition of religion. Anyway, why do people hate religion, specifically Christians? I can understand that you hate the ones that force religion down your throat or that hate everyone who does not believe, but that is not how all Christians are. Sure God has given us the responsibility to tell those who are non-believers about the Good Word, but after we tell you, the choice is up to you. if Christians are right, then we will be rewarded in an afterlife. If we are wrong, at least we (most of us anyway) lived a good life and were good to those around us.

  • So much hatred!!!?

Even on this very site, there is so much hatred for the opposite political party. There are repubs saying they would move to Canada if a dem was elected as well as dems predicting armageddon of another repub was elected. Personally, I think it boils down to ignorance. The world is not going to end if any candidate is elected, not even if Dick Cheney became president. Stop all the hatred and educate yourself on the cadidates. If you like Obama, then vote for him and shut up. If you like Romney, vote for him and stop criticizing anyone who doesn't. Believe it or not, there is not a single perfect candidate with all of the answers. It is hard to respect someone who is ignorant to all the candidates and mouths off to everyone about who dumb they are to like Clinton. Like a Ben Folds song says, there is always someone cooler than you.

  • Being a Democrat...?

How can anyone beleive that big government is good for a country??? How can you beleive that relying on government to solve all the world's problems is the way to go? I mean, that is essentially what the party beleives. The further to the left you go, the bigger the government. Everyone knows government is horribly inefficient with all the bureaucracies and poor judgement. Why should we trust the government to run health care rather than the healthcare professionals, or to fix global warming when they cant even control spending? It makes no sense!!!
