  • Please help...something's wrong with my dog?

So my dog has epilepsy, and he had four seizures today, but none of them were over five minutes. I gave him his medicine and he seemed okay but suddenly he started crying and he started doing something strange. His head (just his head) kept shaking and he put his head down and started moving his head from side to side. And he kept pawing at his head like he wanted to tear his face out, except he was crying the whole entire time. But then he stopped, and now he's just sleeping. I'm very worried about him, but I can't take him to the vet because none of my parents are home and I'm only 15. My dog's treatment and medical bills have also cost a lot of money, so we don't really have the money to go. What should I do?

  • What's wrong with my mom? Is it serious?

So just now my mom had to sit down. She was moaning and tears were streaming down her face. About a minute passed, but now she is okay. She says that on the left side of her chest (underneath her breast) it felt as if something were squeezing harder and harder, and it got harder and harder for her to breathe. I want her to go to the doctor now, but she says that she will go tomorrow. Is it serious? I am not sure on what I should do.

  • What do you think I should do a project on? Easy 10 points?

So basically for Bio I have to do a powerpoint, research paper, and poster on an exhibit. Which one do you think would be best? Here are the links:

    Exhibit #1:

    http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/fast...

    Exhibit #2:

    http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/gene...

    Exhibit #3:

    http://www.fieldmuseum.org/evolvingplanet/

I was thinking of doing either #1 or #2, but I really have no idea. Which one do you think would be the most enjoyable and easiest to work on? Thanks.

  • Math geniuses, I need your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I really don't understand this problem. So far I've always been able to miraculously figure problems out, but I'm stuck on this worksheet. Here's the problems.

    Solve each equation for x:

    b. cx-ba=10

    c. x(5-y)=14+z

I really hate math and I'm terrible with numbers.

  • How much money can I receive if I sell these instruments?

Me and my sister used to play in our school band. We own a clarinet and a flute, they each cost about $1000. We don't really play anymore and therefore are wondering how much we can make if we sell them. I'm not entirely sure what brand they are, but the front case of my clarinet says "Leblanc" so maybe that's the name of the company? Thanks everyone for your answers.

  • I really need help with this!?

Okay, so I'm a freshmen in high school and I'm taking Honors Biology. Since its Honors we HAVE TO do a science project. However, there is an alternative assignment, which basically would consist of visiting a local museum, zoo, etc. and conducting research on one of their exhibits. What do you guys think I should do? I'd have to write a 7 page research paper along with a bibliography for both either way. I know that doing the science fair project would normally be easier, but if I end up doing a science project it would be on brain stimulation and that would require me testing dozens of people and creating permission slips. However, if I were to do the alternative I would have to make a PowerPoint and a poster. So what do you think I should do? I have until this Monday to decide. Also, this project will count for 25% of our final grade, so if we flunk it we're absolutely doomed. My bio teacher's also really tough so it has to be really really good. Any advice? Thanks for all your answers!

  • What language should I learn?

So I'm a freshmen in high school and next year I'm going to be taking a foreign language. I know that it's only September, but I kind of already want to figure out what language I should take. One family member says I should take Spanish so that I can perfect the language (I can understand it perfectly but sometimes have trouble speaking it), one family member says that I should take Italian or French, another family member says that I should go for Chinese, and a friend says I should do Japanese. Everyone's telling me different things. What do you think?

  • I just got contact lenses and...?

I have some questions about it. Like, can they get damaged or cut, and if so, how will I know? Also, I kind of have long eyelashes, so when I take them out they sometimes try to stick on them and they end up getting folded up. Is it okay if that happens? I'm sorry if my questions are rather dumb, it's just that my mom wants me to take real good care of them and they were kind of expensive. Thanks.

  • My lower back hurts real bad?

Like above my butt. It doesn't hurt at all when I'm lying on the floor, but it hurts real bad when I go down the stairs or when I sit in certain positions. It also hurts real bad when I bend forward, like I'm straining some muscles or something. I don't think that anyone in my family thinks it serious, I think they might think that I'm over exaggerating and just need some rest. I'm only 14 though, will it go away? I can't even bend down to touch my toes, it feels as if there's some sort of string that's getting pulled or something. I think that I messed up my lower spine.

  • How do I teach a 12-year-old how to ride a bike?

I have a friend who's twelve, and no one ever taught him how to ride a bike. I think he's kind of embarrassed about it, he really would like to know how. We agreed for me to teach him. Can you give me any advice?

  • What's wrong with my siblings' emails?

So for the past like three days, every time my brother and sister try to get into their email account, like check their mail and stuff, they can't get in and Yahoo keeps on telling them that they are using the wrong ID/password! But my siblings ARE using the correct ones, they know their information and they are putting it in but yahoo keeps on saying that it isn't correct. And they have already like checked to see if they have the caplocks on and stuff like that, and they're putting their information in correctly. But yahoo won't let them into their accounts! We've been trying to get them for the past three days, but nothing has worked! What's going on and what do we do?

  • Chicagoans, I need help!!!?

My sister and I are graduating tomorrow. We managed to get tickets for a whole bunch of family members, and afterwards we would like to go somewhere to eat. Since it's graduation we would like to go eat somewhere fancy, but not too fancy and expensive, if you know what I mean. Can you give any suggestions? Please help us, we'd really appreciate it. By the way, we live in the upper northside of Chicago

  • I need good suggestions quick people, help!?

Okay, so my twin sister and I are graduating from the eighth grade tomorrow. So we managed to snag a lot of tickets so a good amount of family members are coming to the ceremony. Afterwards, we wanna go out to eat, but we can't come up with a really good and nice place to eat. We want it to be fancy (not just your regular food joint) but we're not talking TOO FANCY. Just something classy and nice, you know? So do any Chicagoans have any good suggestions for a great place to eat for this occasion? Also, we live on the upper Northwest side, so please do not suggest a restaurant that is really far, say like at the far south side. So any suggestions are welcome and we really appreciate the help, thanks!
