After a columnaris infection in fish...?
I lost 7 of my 12 guppies to columnaris (bacterial infection). I have treated with triple sulfa and everyone now looks healthy. I also just started a new 20 gallon tank, with two honey sunset dwarf gouramis to start. My question stems around this bacteria: could it still be living in the plants and ornaments in the other tank? I have two anubias plants and piece of driftwood that I want to transfer to the other tank, but I don't want to bring the bacteria in. I'm assuming the treatment killed the bacteria but would like to hear from others familiar with this fish disease. Also, does the bacteria die after being dried out? I have a siphon, buckets and a fish net that have been exposed to the sick tank but use these things for two other tanks.
Here is the website I used to diagnose my fish... http://www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Columnaris...

I am terrible at it. I live paycheck to paycheck unnecessarily. I try to save money, but always end up spending it. How do you curb your temptation to spend?
