  • What do you really know?

It's a given fact that we don't know everything. But if there is only one thing that you can say you know for sure, without a doubt, with the highest and deepest conviction, what would it be?

  • What drives you to keep on seeking God?

    Assuming you:

    1. have not yet found Him/Her/It,

    2. have already found Him/Her/It but have lost your way or faith in Him/Her/It,

    3. have already found Him/Her/It but feel like that shouldn't stop you from seeking.

I'm asking out of curiosity--just a sincere desire to know what pushes people to keep on seeking (and believing in God.) Thank you in advance for your answers. Peace.

  • What was Jesus writing?

John 8: 1-11 is the story of the woman caught in sin. The Pharisees and Teachers of the Law of Moses were challenging Jesus and asking Him what should be done with the woman caught in bed with another man (not her husband). According to the Law, the woman should be stoned to death.

"They asked Jesus this question, because they wanted to test Him and bring some charge against Him. But Jesus simply bent over and started writing on the ground with His finger. <verse 6>"

Nobody stoned her after Jesus challenged them all by saying, "If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her."

Still, my deeply curious mind begs the question...what was Jesus writing on the ground?

    What do you think? =)

  • Dying Religious Art?

I had this idea that maybe the reason why we don't see much religious art nowadays is because we now live in a Godless society. I mean, during the Baroque and Renaissance, many art pieces, sculptures, paintings, stained glass creations depicting God in all His/Her/Its forms and faces were produced. Then I got into thinking that maybe religious art is not really dying but just transforming, evolving, changing, into other forms I just haven't familiarized myself with yet.

A friend of mine told me of an artist who placed a picture of Christ in a bottle filled with his own urine and the Church actually praised it. That was his statement that religious art is dying, and the Church agreed with that.

So what do you think? Is this art form dying and what do you think is/are the reason/s for its death? If not and it's just evolving, then what are its new forms?

  • One who left or got left behind?

Either you're leaving the person you love, or you got left behind by the person you love.

If you could choose, who would you rather be and why?

  • Fill in the blanks: God desires _________________.?

I think God also has desires and I was wondering what you think God's deepest desire is as of present, given everything that's happening in the world. Note that I didn't use the word "need", because I think majority of the people here would agree that God doesn't need anything or anyone.

So what do you think is God's deepest desire as of now?
