A recent bid request by the US Department of Education is asking for quotes on twenty-seven (27) REMINGTON BRAND MODEL 870 POLICE shotguns. Not textbooks, desks, pencils, etc... but SHOTGUNS. Does this prove that the current public educational system in the United States has pretty much failed miserably? They are of course being delivered to Chicago.

The US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments are a grand total of 19 pages long in a standard MS Word format with size 12 Times New Roman font. This document is widely regarded as one of, if not the greatest, political document ever crafted. It was signed over two hundred years ago, and with the addition of a few amendments, has governed this country more than adequately ever since.

Why then do we need to create a stimulus bill that is over 1000 pages long and a health care bill that is 2000 pages long? What exactly are they trying to hide in that amount of text. Is it possible that we would have better representation if our elected officials could actually read and comprehend the legislation that they are signing?

I'm pretty sure that all of the original signers of the Constitution had read and fully understood its meaning.

If liberals are correct in their assertion that Rush is an idiot who knows nothing and therefore his opinions are inconsequential, why do they spend so much time and energy talking, whining and worrying about everything he says?

All in all I’d have to say that the Democrats fulfilled their promise from 2006 and have brought change to our country. It isn’t good change, but it is change.

Let's review how things have gone since the Democrats took over.

* Mortgage companies have declared bankruptcy costing thousands of people their jobs

* Home values have nose-dived

* Millions of Americans have lost their homes

* World oil prices have risen astronomically

* The Democrats continue to block drilling in oil rich reserves to continue and even increase our dependence on foreign oil

* Gasoline prices have increased to over $4 a gallon and there appears to be no end in sight even though Americans have reduced their driving over one billion miles a month.

* The stock market, where most Americans’ retirement hopes are invested, has dropped by more than 15%.

* Food prices are increasing at an alarming rate fueled mostly by rising energy costs.

Can the USA survive more change like this?

Which would you rather have as your president, a racist lier or a fool? Either way that is what you have with Obama. There are only two possible explanations.

1. He approves and believes his minister's rantings in which case he is a lier and a racist.

2. He didn't know that this was how his minister (his mentor, friend and spiritual advisor for 20+ years) really felt, which makes him a complete fool.

If we are to accept that God created Adam and Eve and Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Able, where did the rest of the people come from? Were Cain and Able getting their freak on with their mom, Eve? If so, don't you think that incest would be against God's will? If it is then why would he create that type of situation to begin with?

Is it fair to citizens of the states that have not voted yet that most of the candidates have either dropped out, or in Huckabee's case don't have a shot of winning?

It is pretty clear in our immigration laws that you have to enter this country, whether it is permanently or for a vacation, in an authorized manner. At that time you will be issued either an immigrant visa which is for long term stays in this country, and can eventually lead to citizenship, or a non-immigrant visas which is used for tourists staying a short period.

If you do agree with it, how do you foresee it working any better than the systems do in Canada and England which are notoriously bad?
