I'm pretty sure my backlight is busted (the screen is really dark) but the mouse pointer is as bright as it normally is. Furthermore, when i push the buttons on the side of the monitor, they also have their normal brightness. Do I need to buy a new monitor?

Also, the screen flickers a lot whenever I do something.

I'm running windows 7 and we've had this monitor for 7-8 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken. I was working on the computer when the screen suddenly went to 'sleep mode.' When the screen came back on, the brightness was extremely low (I have to pretty much put my face on teh screen to see what I'm typing) but the mouse pointer itself is still the normal brightness. When I push the buttons on the side of the monitor to bring up the brightness display, the options menu is also the normal brightness. Finally, whenever I type or change windows, the screen flickers. Is it time to get a new monitor?

I'm on PC. It occurs at the end of the mission called 'Celerium.' The screen fades to black and the flying ships show up on screen, but the ships freeze and then my game crashes to the 'Unhandled Exception Caught' window.

I know my specs are above the minimum because I'm playing the game without any lag.

I have a laptop that's several years old (this problem probably results from age) and the wireless constantly crashes. By this I mean that the wireless icon (normally the 5-bar thing in the taskbar) disappears and is replaced by the wired LAN symbol with a red X over it. When it does this, if I open my computer's wireless settings, my wireless radio (which is normally there) is gone completely. I've had my wireless card replaced, but the problem has not been fixed. The only way I've been able to start using wireless again is to put the computer into sleep mode and reactivate it afterwards (this doesn't work after a few crashes, and I have to turn the laptop off and leave it for some time).

However, sometimes before the crash occurs, the 5-bar wireless icon becomes greyed out and has a red X over it. About 10-15 seconds after this occurs, it turns into the no LAN cable sign. I have used the Windows troubleshooter and it resets my wireless adapter, fixing the problem before the symbol changes and I am unable to access my wireless. This does not always happen, however. Not only that, after I get the no LAN symbol, the troubleshooter acts as if I did not have wireless on my laptop and only returns the "A network cable is not plugged in properly or may be malfunctioning" fix. Is there any way for me to manually reset my wireless adapter?

I know how to THROW them, I can't really throw them accurately, however. They generally fly in the direction I throw them in with good spin and decent speed, but I can't consistently hit a target. Any advice?

And why?

I downloaded both of the video card drivers they said I should download (the RAGE performance driver and the beta driver) but it's still so slow. I've made a rageconfig file and changed the settings, but that didn't do anything at all. What should I do?

I can't use the steaminstall.msi or any other installer file due to lack of administrative privileges on my laptop.

Let's say I install Borderlands onto my portable hard drive. How do I then take it and put it on another computer? I ask because I don't have administrative privileges on my second computer, or I would've just installed it myself.

Patching manually, starting from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 but when I try it says 'The patch enUS\DBFilesClient\Item.dbc could not be applied (Invalid source file size: expected 610277, actual 1340436). I've reinstalled everything already... how do I fix this?

I have an AMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor. As long as the game doesn't lag too much, I'm good. I'm also incapable of upgrading my CPU but any help would be appreciated.

I'm connected to the internet (obviously, I'm typing this) but I click 'Activate' and then I click 'Connect now and activate' but it says 'an internet connection is not detected.'

My internet keeps disconnecting like every 5 minutes. It automatically reconnects too so I don't know what the problem is.

I have a Compaq Presario desktop. I want to reset the computer, so when it starts up and I see the logo I start pressing F10. I get this menu, and I looked all over for a factory reset option but I couldn't find one. How do I factory reset?
