Falconry in Michigan - Cost of Hawk?
I am interested in getting involved in falconry in my home state of Michigan. I have read quite a bit and plan on attending one of the beginners workshops soon. I have alot of space available at my home plus farms and fields at my disposal, and room for the mews. My question is what would I be looking to spend for a red-tailed hawk if I got a license? I'm not really interested in trapping one at first so how much is typically paid for one. I'm just inquiring if this is a sport I can afford to get into.
1 AnswerHunting8 years agoBeing charged for medical bills when I was covered?
I recently discovered after checking my credit report that my doctor has seven past visits of mine in collections. I never received any bills but they are on there. I called them and they sent a print out of the services and bills, and much to my surprise I remember every visit even though they were from 2010. Each visit on the bill is showing "Per blue cross no coverage on date of service" but I had full coverage with my employer and always paid co-pay at the Dr. office, since they pretty much make you pay it. The problem is shortly after these visits I left my employer and therefore left BCBS and now they want me to pay. I contacted BCBS (Blue cross and blue shield) and got a COCC letter (I believe is called a certificate of credible coverage) and it shows I was indeed covered under the dates of these visits. In the bill I can also see a line under each visit named Coll Adjustment and Bad Debt next to it with a neg amount, but also a BCBS payment and BCBS Adjustment which are both negative amounts. So, finally for my question, is my doctor balance billing me, and if not can BCBS be billed still for these services since I was covered at the time even after three years has past? I'm not really interested in paying these since I had coverage. I don't know how to read this billing print out so if anyone can help that would be awesome, Thanks.
4 AnswersInsurance8 years agoIs it possible to remove a PAID Michigan public records entry on a credit report?
Unfortunately I allowed H&R block to do my taxes two years ago because I was just too busy to do them and was not really looking forward to it anyway. The lady who prepared my taxes screwed up my taxes and filed for a credit that I did not quality for with the state of Michigan, eventually resulting in a lien being put on my credit report for $1273. Needless to say the taxes have been paid but now im stuck with this entry on my credit report which is now at an incredibly new low because of it. I know the federal government has their new program but Michigan does not from what I can find. Has anyone successfully removed this from their credit report, or am I doomed for another 7 years of bad credit? Please be specific in your steps, I want to get it right. Please don't just respond telling me how irresponsible I was or how I should have handled it, I already got that talk from my mother. Thanks
2 AnswersPersonal Finance8 years ago12 year old debt being reported as current?
I have an consumer account that I opened in 2001 at a small jewlery store now know for being rip-off artists and shortly after that lost my job and quit paying on it. After many bad financial decisions in my life I have FINALLY decided its time to make some changes, until I pulled my first ever credit report. I noticed that the account was not only still there but it was being reported as current / pays as agreed? How can they say this when I have not? I want to know if this is something I can do to remove but like stated earlier, I was fairly irresponsible and do not have proof I have not paid or when I opened, became delinquent etc, also it is reported twice but was never charged off or sold to collections. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be excellent. Here is what the report says exactly:
Status: Pays as agrees High credit: 960 Installment date opened: 9/8/2001 date reported: 4/1/13 date last payment: 4/2008 (Dont remember this?) date of last activity 4/2008 scheduled payment amount: $64 date of first deliquincy: N/A (shows n/a) months reviewed: 13 and all the reporting squares have asterisks (I believe mean current)(Equifax) balance: $0
The second entry has the same exact info except the account number seems to be my ssn now and there is "fixed rate" in the comments section while the other said "account close at the request of customer", and the date reported on this one is 10/1/2011
Both are from the same company and I know I never opened a second so I don't know why they are showing twice. I figured this would have been gone by now. Has anyone ever see anything like this?? Again I have zero documents to support my efforts. I received the equifax report from freecreditreport.com by the way. Thanks for your help.
1 AnswerPersonal Finance8 years agoPotential energy between two point charges.?
I have a homework problem problem I cannot figure out. (Phys II)
Basically a formula is given (W = Ui - Uf = - delta U ) Trying to find work done between to points.
I have found Ui (-0.137J) and Uf (-0.434J), I already input them so I know its correct values, but when ever I try to input into the equation I keep getting a wrong answer.
I am coming up with (-0.297) but evidently this is wrong? I just subtracted (Ui-Uf) and that should have given me a negative delta U which is also equal to work in Joules? I dont know where im going wrong.
An explanation would be helpful so I dont make this mistake again. Thanks!
