I know questions about "dedicated Video RAM vs video RAM" have been asked here before, but I have a different situation that I need clarification about.

I recently installed Skyrim on my laptop, a Toshiba Satellite P855-S5200 (If you want my full specs please look them up). I saw that I didn't have enough dedicated video RAM to run it (64Mb vs the 512Mb needed), but I decided to install and play it to see if I could run it anyway, considering I have 1.7Gb of "shared" video RAM. When I play it, it seems to work just fine, with no lag or anything (even when the graphics are intense like when I fight dragons or something), the only thing that seems to happen to my laptop is that it might get a little hotter faster.

On any question I've seen on here about dedicated vs "normal"(or shared) video RAM for laptops, I see answers like: "integrated graphics are not even close to anything", "you need dedicated video ram to run those kinds of games" or something to that effect.

If the right amount of dedicated video RAM is NEEDED in order to run games like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed or any other graphically intense games, why is it that I can run Skyrim just fine? If I'm not supposed to be able to, why can I?

I just got a new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on June first and I rooted it the same day and everything was working fine for a few days.

Then maybe 2 days ago the gallery app started crashing ALL THE TIME... Like I can get NO functionality out of it what so ever...

The reason this is REALLY bothering me, because I've downloaded another gallery app, Quickpic, but I want to change my lockscreen wallpaper but it seems Quickpic won't let me, it only lets me set my home screen. I've also tried others gallery apps like "Gallery ICS" and none of them will let me... I don't know what to do, I've tried looking the problem up online but to no avail!

Can anyone help me?

I have a Toshiba Satellite P855 S5200 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. I sent my computer back to Toshiba about a month ago to get it fixed after the motherboard coped-out on me. It was still under the one year warranty (and should still be, I hope) and I got it fixed for free. About a week after getting it back a window pops up saying that I don't have genuine copy of windows installed. I fallowed the "Resolve Online Now" button and it brought me to a Microsoft web page. After it prompted me to download and install some sort of "update" it says that I need to buy another $109 copy of windows in order to resolve this! I'm a college student, I don't have that kind of money!

I've looked the problem up online and tried different solutions, but nothing seems to be working.

I have no idea why my copy of Windows 7 isn't genuine all of the sudden... I haven't illegally downloaded and installed a pirated copy of windows on my computer or anything... Could it be something Toshiba did while fixing my computer? Why would fixing the motherboard create this problem?

Can anyone help me? I would really love for this window to stop popping up on me whenever I start up my computer and at random intervals as I'm using it.

I am taking an Intro to Psychology class, and I need to find a Psychological research report of a study that used the experimental method to then write a short paper on. I've been trying to find some online but I've been coming up empty. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find scientific research reports online, or even more specifically, ones concentrated in psychology?

I got a new computer, a Toshiba Satellite P855-S5200, and everything was fine for the first few days I had it, I installed a few programs (antivirus and stuff), and everything was fine... then a few days ago, I was just watching a youtube video, and the computer suddenly and error message came up saying that windows explorer and crashed, then it blue screened and restarted.

It came up to the normal black and white menu where there are choices for safe mode and everything, so I just pressed "start windows normally". The computer proceeded to reboot and it got the the screen where the you log-in, but there was no log-in prompt (or anything for that matter). I waited for about 10 mins and nothing happened so I shut it off with the power button, turned it back on and got back to the same back and white menu.

This time I booted in safe mode and when it got to the log-in screen everything came up like normal... I thought something was wrong, so after logging in I decided (in safe mode) to restore the computer to the earliest restore point I could...

The computer restored normally, but the same log-in problem persisted... I decided to wait like before. It took a while but after nearly 15-20 mins the log-in prompt finally appeared. After logging in the computer functions completely fine, its just that now whenever I start it up it takes the longest time for the log-in prompt to appear. I decided to take off the password and see if that would help, but it just spends the same amount of time at the log-in screen THEN proceeds to my desktop (obviously without the log-in prompt appearing because I took off the password)

Is there a way for me to fix this. None of the programs I installed are installed the new computer anymore except the Norton Antivirus trial the came with the computer...

Can anyone help me?

I wondering because this weekend I'm the lead of my school's production of the musical All Shook Up. I'm dancing and singing the entire time in a thick, real leather "Orospo" (I think that's the brand, the tag is kinda warn) motorcycle jacket with all the bells an' whistle: metal snaps, zippers up the wazoo, and a buckle. I get PRETTY hot a sweaty in it, and jacket isn't mine. It's a friend of a friend's and I was wondering how can I clean it after the show is over to get my stench and sweat out of it?. Can I bring a leather jacket to the dry cleaner? If not, what is the cheapest way to clean it?

I'd really appreciate some helpful answers :)

My family has had our wireless router since at least 2007, when my sister graduated high school and got a laptop for college, so its pushing 5 years old...Its a Netgear 54 Mbps Wireless Router WGR6148 v8. I've tested the speed on my laptop at "testmyinternetspeed.org" multiple times and it consistently says about 1.48 Mbps, and I've noticed that if I go other places with my laptop and test the wireless speed it averages around 2.5 to 3 Mbps and notice the internet is much faster...So i was wondering, is our connection slow? I constantly see new commercials from our internet provider, Time Warner Cable, advertising much higher speeds than 1.48 Mbps. Might we be able to improve our Wi-Fi speeds with a new router or is it just Time Warner not providing older customers the speeds they advertise to attract new customers?

I'm a 17 year old 11th grader going into 12th in the fall and I'm starting my search for colleges.

I want to go to school for Graphic Design and maybe minor in Theater or Musical Theater (but that is not as important). My guidance counselor gave me a list of 22 colleges in New York State (where I live) and the surrounding states, but I guess he misunderstood me because he focused on the Theater rather than Graphic Design because only 3 or 4 of the schools he gave me actually have a Graphic Design major...

So I was wondering if anyone in the Yahoo Answers community might be able to help me.

I'm looking for:

>Small to medium sized schools

>Public or private

>Schools that are in NY, CT, VT, NH, MA., PA or NJ

>Ones that costs less than $40,000 a year (would be preferable)

I've tried the collegeboard.org college search tool but each time I do it, it gives me different results and it is very annoying

So I have Tuneup Utilities 2011 and it was working just fine a couple of days ago and just yesterday I tried to open it and an error message comes up called "Integrator.exe - System Error". the rest of the error says that it can't open because rtl120.bpl is missing from my computer and to reinstall the program on my computer to fix this problem.

Okaayy, so I go to uninstall it so I can redownload and reinstall, but the same error message comes up whenever I try! I don't know what to do... I can't use the program anymore and i can't uninstall it... I haven't installed any new programs on my computer or anything...

Can anyone help me? Please?

How do I Figure out how many sides a polygon has if all I have is the sum of the interior angles?

I'm writing vocab sentences for my 11th grade English class and I just want to know if I'm using the words "broach", "allegory" and "aphorism" correctly... Here's the sentence....

Our grandfather would always broach his aphorisms and allegories with the phrase “When I was your age...” or “Back in my day...”

For my 11th grade US History class, each week my teacher assigns an essay to the 5 people that come next in the alphabet. He basically just assigns us an essay topic and doesn't help us at all. He just leaves us to do it completely on our own, and doesn't even give us any names of resources we could use to help us... so that is where this comes in... I was wondering if you guys in the Yahoo! Answers community could help me out with reliable internet resources on the topic...

Here's the topic: "The practices of Congress have been vigorously defended and vigorously attacked. (a) Discuss two Congressional practices and why/how they have been defended. (b) Discuss two other Congressional practices and why/how they have come under attack. Explain one remedy proposed for each of these attacked Congressional practices."

Now I don't want anybody to write the essay for me, I just want resources that can help me to gather information to write this thing. Like I said, our teacher gave us nothing to go on except that essay topic... Well, we have a packet that tells the the congressional powers (Borrowing power, Power to Tax, etc.) and explains them a little but that's hardly enough to write the entire thing...

Anything you guys can muster up for me would be GREATLY appreciated!

I just got a laptop and I downloaded iTunes... when i press sync it asked if i want to transfer my music and i pressed it but it says i have to authorize my computer... so i sign in when it tell me to, but then another sign in box shows up with another members iTunes ID... and i don't why its doing this... :(

Is there a way to get the songs off my ipod without going through iTunes, so i can just manually add them to my iTunes library again??

anyway, here's what happens... I go to turn on my computer (eMachines desktop windows xp home edition SP3 btw) and it's fine up until just after the windows logo. after that it flashes a blue screen, shuts down and restarts. it does this over and over again in a continuious loop! it I can get it to stop on the blue screen but it just tells me to run it in safemode, and I've tried that but it just does the same thing! I'm really upset! All I did was shut it down and then a few hours later I tried to start it up again and this happens! I have a virus protection called Avast! Anti-Virus (it updates almost daily) and it's been working really well so I don't know what could be wrong!!

I'm just curious...

When I log onto my computer (I have Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 by the way) an "Open File- Security Warning" pops up asking if I want to run "dialog.exe" and it also says its from an unknown publisher. I don't know what to do... I keep canceling it but the next time I log onto the computer it pops up again, even before I start to do anything... I'm afraid that if I run it, it will install a virus on my computer, but at the same time I don't know if its just something harmless that my computer needs to run correctly... I searched it on Google but haven't come up with anything useful... The community's help would much appreciated!
