Ibanez MTM100 vs Gibson M-4 Sherman?
I'm looking for a guitar to use in drop b exclusively and was wondering which one of these guitars you guys think comes as a nicer package. I am pretty sure both guitars come tuned into drop b (or at least I would assume so since that's the only tuning I've heard Mick Thompson and Jason Hook play in). Both are hand crafted as well.
BQ: If you don't like either of these guitars or think they are overpriced tell me of a better one I could get setup for this, I already have an Ibanez S and a Gibson Explorer but I'd rather keep those in standard....
1 AnswerRock and Pop8 years agoWhich US city would I like living in the most?
I have lived in Nevada my whole life and have become very frustrated with the heat and lack of snow. Although I function perfectly fine in the heat I just find it to be extremely uncomfortable at times. I have looked into cities like Milwaukee and Green Bay(I'm a Packers fan) and also Denver. I read somewhere that Milwaukee has a very high crime rate which has kind of turned me off... Is it really that bad? Also, are houses expensive in these cities? One of the few things I do like about Nevada is that Houses are reflectively cheap here when compared to California. I don't really feel like living on the east coast so you can eliminate New York from the list, I don't really want to live in a congested city anyway. I prefer Mountains and Forest.
And just a side note, would my liking the Packers make it hard for me to make friends in Denver? lol
1 AnswerOther - United States8 years agoIbanez Tremolo on a Gibson?
I was wondering if I could put an Ibanez ZR Tremolo on my Gibson Explorer. I already have an Ibanez S with the ZR on it and I love it. I like the way my Explorer feels and sounds but I would like to put a tremolo on it, but I think the Ibanez ZR is better than Floyd Rose...(Bonus)Would cutting out the wood to fit the trem kill my tone?
2 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhat pickups should I get?
I have a Gibson Explorer and an Ibanez S420, I am thinking about changing the pickups in both guitars but need help choosing them. I like the stock pickups in the Explorer but I think they are getting a little old and would like ones that can play tuned down low and make really good pinch harmonics. And with the Ibanez I would like ones that could make good whammy harmonics like in the style of Synyster Gates or Herman Li. Also, both guitars have Passive pickups, would it be hard to switch from Passive to active? any help would be appreciated.
2 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoShould I get a Husky?
My dog died at the end of last year, we still have two other dogs but they are more like my Step-Dad's dogs than anything(one of them use to be mine but now he follows him around instead of me...) Ever since I was little I have always wanted a Husky because Wolves are my favorite animal and they look the most like them. I have been thinking about getting a Siberian Husky but I need to know if it's really a good idea. My family has a Rottweiler( age 7) and a Wipit(age 12) right now. Would a Husky get along well with those two? and if we left him home with them would they all keep him from getting into trouble? In any case if I can't get a Husky or some other dog similar to it(like the Norwegian Elkhound) I probably won't get another dog at all, I've had dogs all my life but I only would get another if its what I really wanted.....
8 AnswersDogs9 years agoOne guitar for multiple tunings?
I am getting around to buying a new guitar and I was wanting to get one with a fixed bridge( my current main one is an Ibanez with the ZR Tremolo on it, really nice whammy bar but I can't play songs in drop C and whatnot with it) I was looking at Les Pauls, Explorers, ESPs, another Ibanez( specifically the RGD421 and RG351DX) and was wondering if it would mess the guitar up too much going back and forth from standard tuning, to Eb, to D standard, to drop C...any suggestions would be appreciated...
2 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoIs Protest The Hero Satanic?
My cousin showed them to me and I think they sound cool, but I have seen some of the names for their songs(Palms Read for example) and I read in an interview that they where inspired by Death Metal...Metal is my favorite genre but I just don't feel comfortable listening to things that praise the devil even if it isn't being serious...
4 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoWould I like Tekken 6?
I am semi new to fighting games, I had Mortal Kombat(2011) and I really liked the characters and how it played...except for the over the top gore with the stupid fatalities....I also have Super Street Fighter 4 but I find all the characters and art design in that game really lame. I was looking at Tekken 6 but I dunno if I'd like it or not.... are there any other fighting games that play like Mortal Kombat that I would like? Should I buy Tekken 6? Is Super Street Fighter 4 AE really worth it???????
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoSome good modern metal?
Ok guys....I am a semi new Guitar player and am looking for some inspiration for my songwriting, I like lots of Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Heavy Metal/Powermetal, and I like the instrumental aspects of Metalcore(for example "empire" by August Burns Red) my favorite bands include, Coheed and Cambria, Avenged Sevenfold, and Van Halen, just to name a few...I would prefer it to be some modern metal if you can recommend any, but old works too...
