Hello I'm interested in ancestry so i took the 23andme dna test, I'm scottish my results came back as such British, irish, Scandinavian, french, German, sardinian but also native american which i thought was odd, so i wonder is this possible or is it a bit far fetched? relating to the native american component. Hi i am making the transition from being vegetarian to being vegan, i have been vegetarian for about 7 years but not always a healthy one, relying on convenience food like chips and pizza and not much veg, my main reason for going vegan is for ethical reasons, but i would also like to get healthier so if anyone has tips for transitioning to veganism, or some healthy recipes i could try out that would be great thanks.

Hi i was wondering what this behaviour means, i just recently got a new kitten it is 9 weeks old and i have 2 chihuahuas 1 of which when sees the kitten gets excited and play bows, my other chihuahua not so much his pupils get very big he stares at the kitten follows the kitten around occasionally barks at it, goes right up to the kitten with back straight tail straight and ears straight up and if someone is holding the kitten the dog will not stop trying to get at it, i am unsure what this behaviour really means but i think it is not so friendly like my other dog i was thinking he has a possible high prey drive and sees the kitten as prey? could this be possible

Hey i was wondering if one parent carried two recessive genes for red and blonde, had strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes, second parent had golden brown hair blonde facial hair and brown green eyes, what would a potential child look like? Can two recessive genes one from each parent override a dominant gene? any help appreciated i am just curious

Hi i am planning to create an iwagumi style aquascape with seiryu stone and eleocharis. Sp 'mini', i will be using the tmc grobeam 1500 ultima tile, tank dimensions are as follows length 23", height 17.7" and width 17.7", i have an external fluval filter that i will be using also but what i wanted ideas on was fish selection ideally i want a small schooling fish as my main focus is the scape, i was thinking boraras brigattae but im not sure as i read they prefer a more darker densely planted setup, any ideas for stocking would be great. Hi a few weeks ago my hands sporadically started seizing/locking up when i was using cutlery or writing i felt no pain just a weird nerve feeling then my hands locked up, a few nights ago i woke from my sleep to find my right hand contorted into a strange claw like position i could not move my hand at all, a second the worst shooting pain ran down all my fingers it only lasted a few seconds but was extremely sore, later that same night i woke up again to a strange tingling sensation in my toes of both feet then my legs went completely numb and i couldn't move them at all it was a little scary after a few seconds it could move them but ever since then my hands have been constantly locking up and i get a nerve feeling in my fingers and they go numb also the same in my feet my toes alternate between numb and tingly or a nerve feeling and the muscles in the backs of my legs feet extremely tight and they spasm which is very uncomfortable it feels as if you take a wrong step and your legs will just seize up, also i have been getting bad back pain it comes and goes and doesn't last long but when it starts its sudden i also get chest pain that accompanies the pain its short but sore enough to make me feel nauseous, any idea what this could be, as i don't want to go to the doctor if its nothing, thanks for any help oh and btw i am a 26 yr old female

Hi i am thinking of ordering my first imac I'm going for the second stock option 21.5" with the upgraded graphics, i was going to upgrade to 1tb fusion drive as well would it be worth it to upgrade to the i7 or just stick with the i5??, i will mainly be using it for uni work, listening to music and watching movies and a little photoshop and possibly some gaming i.e. civ 5, so would it be worth upgrading to the i7 or just stick with the 1tb fusion upgrade and the i5?? Hi about 2 days ago i noticed my aquarium water had turned a very strong milky white so i did a 50% water change and vacuumed the gravel the next morning when i checked i noticed 2 of my fish had died so i did another 10% water change and checked my water param using api master test and the results are as follows: ammonia 0ppm nitrite 0ppm and nitrate 0ppm which i dont understand because (A) my tank has been up and running just over 3 years and (B) my tank is cycled so it would surely be showing a small nitrate reading. My aquarium is 70 litres and has 9 rather large checkered barbs in it the water has cleared up good bit but is still a little cloudy and milky what could be causing this? any help appreciated thanks

Hi i have 2 chihuahuas i am feeding them dried in the morning they get royal canin dried biscuits and for dinner they have raw a mixture of lamb with veg and bone which they love, the thing is i was reading the ingredients list on the royal canin and there seems to be a very high carb content so i was thinking of switching to acana dried dog food has anyone tried acana with their dog? i would be feeding in conjunction with raw any help appreciated thanks

Hi this seems like a rather silly question but i was just curious if you can get albino or different variations of the normal checkered barb?? as i have a male checkered barb that is a different color from the rest he is just plain white/silver no black checker on his main body, he was bred in my tank and has always been this color, ill put up pics excuse the poor quality was taken on my phone.

Hi i just tested my water today and i got these readings ammonia 0ppm nitrite 0ppm and nitrate was extremely high 60ppm possibly 80 i use api liquid tests, what could be causing the high nitrate??? i did a 40% water change but it did not affect the nitrate level :s, i admit i have been a little lax in my water changes recently. Additional info: i have a 15 gallon with about 14 checkered barbs and i use a fluval 305 external filter any help appreciated thanks

Hi I've had a lump in my armpit for just over a week now, the lump has gotten slightly bigger its hard like a small stone and its unmovable like its stuck to something under my skin its not sore just tender if i try and move it. Also my right nipple the same side as the lump in my armpit is a little inverted this happened before i noticed the lump awhile ago. Could this be a swollen lymph node? or something and should i make a doctors appointment as i don't want to make 1 if its just nothing. Thanks for the help and sorry its so long

Hi i have been calorie counting for 3 weeks I'm 5,1 and 140 lbs I'm wanting to lose about 28 pounds 2stone, like i said i have been calorie counting for 3 weeks eating between 1200-1300 calories a day mostly fresh fruit/veg and quorn since I'm vegetarian i have a takeout on a fri but i calorie count it in, i go to the gym 3 times a week combining some weight training and cardio, i have lost nothing so far what am i doing wrong??? since i have not lost 1 pound since starting calorie counting 3 weeks ago. sorry its so long i just wanted to know why I'm not losing weigh :/

Hi i was wondering what this could be i started spotting then bleeding a lilttle heavier. Then 2 days ago the bleeding got alot heavier then i got the most severe cramps i think ive ever had it felt like i was being stabbed in the stomach i was doubled over. Then i went to the toilet and passed this purple tissue like mass with veins and clear stuff surrounding it ive passed clots before but nothing like this im still having cramps and bleeding just not as bad could anyone explain what this could be. Sorry its so long also im on microgynon contraceptive pill if that makes a difference

Hi i just bought a new aquarium its an open top 240 litre 63 us gallon tank or 53 imperial gallon. The dimensions are H x W x L: (19.7" x 19.6" x 42") i already have 13 or so checkered barbs i was wondering what other peaceful community fish i could add?? after its been cycled and all that first obv. I was thinking some panda corys also it's going to be a biotope type setup i'll have two filters running my external fluval 306 and an all ponds solution external 14ef filter so any stocking ideas would be appreciated thanks.
