  • Chick Fil A protests?

Ok so we all know that the CEO of Chick Fil A made a comment that was not supportive of the LGBT community. Now, people are protesting outside of Chick Fil A's for "equal rights". I've seen pictures of a local Chick Fil A, and they have completely swarmed the parking lot.

In our Constitution, the FIRST amendment guarantees people the freedom of religion. As far as I am aware of, the CEO of Chick Fil A doesn't believe in homosexuality because of his religion, and he has every right to.

Why do people feel the need to protest and make a big scene out of everything? If you don't like Chick Fil A's stance on gay marriage, THEN DON'T GO THERE. You don't have to go and protest about it. You have the right to support gay marriage, and they have the right to be non-supportive of it. Chick Fil A, and other people/companies that don't support gay marriage and other "equal right" things don't go around and cause trouble everywhere.

I merely want to understand why people want to FORCE their opinions on others. Everyone is entitled to have their own beliefs -- just because you don't believe in what they do doesn't mean you should go and stir up trouble and protest it. I just want to know why people feel the need to do this.

  • Girls: Does she like me?

Sorry if you think this is in the wrong category, but nobody answers in the Singles and Dating section.

Ok so we are both sophomores in high school. Last year, I had her in a couple of classes. I never really got to know her very well, but I've seen her around quite a bit. For some reason, she is ridiculously quite around me. She has tons of friends, and apparently she is talkative, but not around me. I've barely even heard her speak before. Last year, I kind of liked her, but wasn't ready for a relationship. Fast forward to this year, and I really like her.

Last semester, she was in one of my classes. Once again, she was really quiet and I never really talked to her (which I regret). A couple of times though, I caught her looking at/around me. When I would look at her, she would kind of jerk her head away. Sometimes she would just be sitting in class doing work, uninterested, and then I would start to talk to someone and she would seem more interested. I would also make eye contact with her sometimes, but I ended up looking away, and so would she.

NOW, I like her a lot. Our eyes would meet, but then we would both look away. One day, I was staring at her during lunch and she caught my eye, but I didn't look away. Hopefully I didn't creep her out... I used to see her around the halls a lot. I would see her in the halls like 5 times a day. Now, I only see her once, and that is on a good day. Is she avoiding me?

Does she like me? Or am I just being too hopeful? If she does, should I go for the approach? I don't want to just walk up to her out of nowhere, because that might come off as creepy, but I don't want to let her go and miss my chance either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, I know this is really long.

  • If you could have any superhero/villain's powers...?

who would you choose? I would probably choose Hyperstorm(Marvel, Fantastic Four). His powers include...

Hyperstorm is easily one of the most powerful mutants to ever exist, easily matching Mister M, X-Man and Jean Grey, or even surpassing them. With his powers he can warp reality on (at least) a galactic sale.

Dynamokinesis: Richards possesses virtually infinite psionic power which he can draw endlessly from hyperspace, from which the fundamental forces of the universe (the strong nuclear force, electromagnetism, the weak nuclear force and gravitation) flow into our plane of reality. Controlling the four fundamental forces should theoretically allow him to restructure, create, manipulate and/or destroy matter from a cosmic scale down to the subatomic level at will; to create electromagnetic fields and electrical currents, make matter radioactive, manipulate gravity (change the shape of spacetime), cause nuclear detonations, emit enormous energy blasts, use his psionic powers to increase his physical strength and generally to accomplish nearly anything he sets his mind to.

Hyper-spacial Teleportation: He has the ability to teleport himself through hyperspace from one place in spacetime to another, possibly at any distance.

Invisibility: He has the power to render himself wholly or partially invisible at will. He can also render other people or objects invisible, affecting up to forty thousand cubic feet of volume. He achieves these feats by mentally bending all wavelengths of light in the vicinity of himself or of the target in question and he somehow does this without causing visible distortion effects; he can also (through unclear means) direct enough undistorted light to his eyes in order to retain his full range of vision while invisible.

Telepathy: He can read the minds of others and project his own thoughts into them within a radius of 250 miles (on Earth). With extreme effort he can greatly extend that radius.

Telepathic Illusion: He has the ability to create realistic telepathic illusions that cause people to experience events which are not actually occurring.

Telepathic Cloak: He can mask his presence to prevent himself from being detected by others. His abilities can, at times, go undetected or be counteracted by other more powerful telepaths depending on their level of skill in using their own psi abilities. He can extend these defenses to others around him as well.

Mind Link: He has a remarkable ability to develop a mental link with any person and it remains thereafter as a connection to that individual.

Telepathic Camouflage: Richard's can mask his and other peoples' presence from anyone or group in the area. He can also telepathically disguise himself thus making his appearance quite different from his 'normal' one to others (changing the appearance of clothing, as well as more involved disguising).

Mind Control: He has the power to control the minds of others upon mere concentration.

Mind Possession: He is able to possess the mind of another, and use that beings body as his own.

Mind Alteration: He can alter the minds of others by force of will.

Mental Amnesia: Richard's has the ability to cause loss of particular memories or to induce a more general amnesia in another person or even in a group of people.

Psionic Shield: His mind can erect a psychic shield for protection of himself and/or of the minds of others.

Psionic Blasts: He can project psionic force bolts which have no physical effects but which can affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain or unconsciousness and can even kill an adversary.

Astral Projection: His abilities extend to Astral Travel and he can communicate with others astrally through his own will, or through contact with the thoughts and memories of others. When in the astral realm, he can use his powers to create "ectoplasmic" objects. He is, however, somewhat limited compared to other practitioners of astral travel (such as Dr. Strange) in that he cannot engage in long range astral projection whilst remaining on the earthly plane.

Mental Detection: He senses the presence of other superhuman mutants within a small (but as yet undefined) radius of himself apparently through perception of the distinctive mental radiations emitted by such a being.

Mind Transferal: Richard's also can transfer both his mind and powers into other host bodies should his own physical body be somehow killed.

Telekinesis: He possesses very strong telekinetic abilities enabling him to levitate and manipulate living beings, inanimate objects, and (to some extent) manipulate energy psionically. He can “lift” an unknown amount of weight and can enable himself to “fly” at great speed.

Vitakinesis: He has the ability to heal any injury to himself or others.

Who's powers, or what powers would YOU choose? Reality warping would also be a power I would take.

  • How to turn down my coach's offer?

Ok so I am 16 and I run cross country. For the past couple of weeks, my knees have been killing me. On Monday, my mom and I went to an orthopedic doctor. They diagnosed me with something, and told me that I would not be able to run for the next 3-12 months.

On Tuesday, I tell my coach that I can't run and I am out for the season. I didn't really mind, and I just told him I wouldn't really be running at all. He on the other hand, felt REALLY bad for me. He seemed to think that it was some devastating blow to me that I can't run. Now, he says that I can help out at the practices and meets every day after school. The problem is... I don't want to. I have no problem going to the Saturday meets, but I have better things to do on school nights, then stand around at practice and watch everyone run. I have homework and studying for classes! What is the point in having me go if I don't even run? Also, my mom thinks that I should stay home after school and take care of school things. She thinks it is ridiculous for me to stay after school when I have other things to be doing. I don't want to say this straight out to my coach though, because I feel that it would be rude.

How can I get the message across to my coach that I don't want to go to practice every day after school, but I wouldn't mind helping out at the meets every now and then. I don't want to be completely rude, since he is also one of my teachers. However, I don't want to get stuck deeper in this situation. Thank you for your time for reading this.

Oh, I thought this would be best in the relationship category because it is kind of a coach to athlete relationship, so sorry if you think this should be in sports :P

  • Can Magneto manipulate non metals?

I have been wondering this for a while. Can Magneto control something that isn't magnetic. Like a brick wall, or even a person? Since there are electrons in everything, and they produce something that causes magnetism... can't he basically control anything?

I brush my teeth twice a day, use mouthwash, and floss. However, my teeth are not white. They aren't yellowy or anything, they just aren't really white. How do I make my teeth whiter?

Are there any products at stores that actually work for whitening teeth? If so, please do share.

  • What buzz cut length should I get?

Ok I am considering getting a buzz cut on Saturday, because that's when I'm getting a haircut, and I am sick of having to mess with my hair all the time. What length buzzcut should I get? I guess my hair is medium in thickness, it isn't really thin, but it definitely is not thick. Do you guys think I should start at 4/8, and if I think that is too long move down to 3/8? Is that a good idea? Also, would going to 2/8 or 1/8 be too short, like making me look bald? If you were getting a buzz cut, and you were me, what would you get? Thanks. As you can see, I have never had one before...

  • Really hating life right now?

I really hate life right now. Every morning, I hate getting up at 5:40 in the morning, so I can get ready for school and take the bus. When I get to school, I hate class. It's boring, and most of the stuff we are learning is pointless. The only thing I enjoy about school is track after school. After track, I hate having to go home and do 2 hours of homework, and then studying.

I also hate life outside of school. I feel like I am not doing anything right. I feel like my family just thinks I am annoying and always in the way. I always mess up whatever I am doing, I just bombed a science test on Tuesday. And I hate the winter. It's so dark and gloomy where I live, and I feel like I will never get alive out of this winter.

How do you guys cope with life? I just get so sick and tired of waking up hating myself. I mean, I'm not suicidal or a maniac or anything, I just HATE life right now. What would you guys do? What have you done to get through tough times in your life?

I'm really sorry this is so long, and the whole time I have just been complaining, but I am just being honest, this is how I feel. I really appreciate you reading this, and I hope you can share some of your knowledge with me. :/

  • Someone hacked my Call of Duty 4 game?

first of all, let me say that i DO NOT hack.

yesterday, i was playing cod4, and i just went to join a game.

when i got into the lobby, everything was messed up. the graphics were black and white, people were flying around, you had unlimited ammo, and there was a laser pointing out of my gun.

right when i saw this, i obviously left. when i got back to the main menu... everything was unlocked! all of the challenges, and all of the guns. sadly it unlocked all of the guns, but no attachments or camos. now, i can't do the challenges to get the camos, or unlock the attachments.

and i obviously want to have attachments. and besides, i want to unlock the guns myself, not in 3 seconds.

can anyone help? how do i get rid of this? oh by the way, i play on ps3. thanks for the help

  • I am starting to lose faith in God...?

My family has been Christian all our lives, but now im kinda starting to lose faith in God. Ive been praying every night for the last 12 monts for my dad to get a job. Also, people pick on me a lot at school. Everyone pushes me around and treats me like a little kid. Everyone is growing except me. I pray for it all to stop, but nothing happens. I don't know what I should do and believe?
