  • Sweet rice flour cookies?

I got some sweet rice flour because I'm trying a gluten free diet. My normal choco chip cookie recipe calls for 2 1/2 cups of flour, would it be advisable to just substitute the full amount with the sweet rice flour, or do I need to use a combination of other things?

  • How to load my typewriter ribbon?

I have an Underwood, looks just like this http://www.jfklibrary.org/~/media/assets/Museum%20...

I'm fairly sure I have it loaded properly but I suspect there are a few things wrong with the typewriter as I bought it from a thrift store and the ribbon won't move automatically when I type, it's already torn a small hole in the ribbon from typing. I went by how the old ribbon was threaded so it would be correct, but I think I did something wrong. Any suggestions?

  • My pictures come out dark! Help please.?

When taking pictures inside with my Nikon Coolpix P90, all of my pictures turn out dark, some of them not even visible. In rooms with obviously well lit areas, I have to use flash to even make the picture show up. I can clearly see the set-up on my screen and through the viewfinder, but the pictures never turn out. I was wondering if there was some sort of setting that I recklessly turned on while playing around with my camera. And I have been playing around with aperture, no setting helps.

    Please help!

  • Some crazy books, please?

I'm always looking for new reads.

I LOVE Chuck Palahniuk! If you've read anything by him, you know what I mean when I'm looking for crazy books. I'm very interested in the strange, weird, unconventional, unorthodox.

Please be of some help : )

  • How to change size without cropping on Gimp 2.0?

I'm on a Mac, therefore I don't have the simplicities of MS paint. I need to know how to change the size of one of my photos without cropping any of the photo using the program Gimp 2.0 as it is the only program I use.

Specific instructions would be greatly appreciated :)

  • Why are my pictures grainy?

I've been using my Nikon P90 for awhile and messing around with the settings. I can't seem to find anything in the handbook or on the camera itself that leads me to an answer. Why are some of my pictures grainy? It is very frustrating.

  • Glue on the papercut?

I just got a papercut today (I hate them!!) and my mum told me to cover it with superglue so it won't get anymore air and it will stop hurting..

Any thoughts? Does it work? (It seems to be working) Is it dangerous? Have you tried it before?

  • The title of this book is...?

Its very confusing, but from what I can remember, it is about a boy that goes into town one day, and he comes home through the fog to find that his house is completely different. He DID enter the right house, and it turns out that he walked into the past.

From what little I can recall, the boy starts to visit this past era every day and begins to paint portraits. That's all I can really remember.. Please help!
