Is Maryck in Jamaica here? About your dog...?
Your question has been deleted, possibly because someone thought it was an attempt to troll (which I hope it is, but...).
I wrote this in answer right as it vanished. If you truly do need the help, I hope it is useful.
Even if there are no municipal animal control facilities, I found this http://www.theanimalhousejamaica.org/ and perhaps there are others (Google animal services Jamaica or similar)... possibly one of these agencies will know who could help you or be able to help themselves.
I cannot imagine...
If you do have a local vet, you could call and see if they would send someone to euthanize your dog at home and allow you to work off the cost by cleaning cages or something.
1 AnswerDogs8 years agoDo you know about dogs and Thanksgiving and pancreatitis?
I learned a few years ago that there is one particular day of the year that more dogs are diagnosed with pancreatitis than any other day... it is the day after Thanksgiving. I still remember this because I have only ever had one dog diagnosed with pancreatitis, and it WAS the day after Thanksgiving!
Sharing a special Thanksgiving dinner with your dogs is fine! They would love some turkey (but not cooked bones!) and some bites of mashed potatoes and yams and maybe some broccoli, a bit of stuffing, a dollop of green bean casserole and some more roast turkey... this is all good (but, don't overfeed them and don't give them a regular amount of their own dinner afterwards!).
What is NOT good is the greasy stuff! Pancreatitis comes from licking all of the drippings out of the roasting pan and from gravy and from greasy delicious turkey skin. It comes from large portions of fat.
Pancreatitis is very painful. If you have let your dog overindulge (or failed to keep the garbage out of reach) and on Friday your dog has stomach pain (crying or hunching over or staying in the play-bow posture) or vomits, get the dog to the vet. It is serious and requires treatment and can be life-threatening.
Here's to a happy and moderate Thanksgiving for people and dogs... enjoy healthfully and reasonably!
5 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhy won't my thermostat shut my heat off?
I installed a new Honeywell CT87K thermostat, and my heat will not shut off. I have hot-water baseboard heat. There are only two wires, and I have them in the right places (at least, I am pretty sure LOL!). There are two switches, and I believe I have them set correctly (only one option referred to hot water heat, so I selected this). My furnace is 40 years old, although I do not know why that would make a difference. I have two zones in the house, and the second one is operating properly on the other thermostat. I replaced the thermostat for this zone in November, and either it worked properly for a couple of months or it was so cold out that the furnace staying on kept the house at the correct temperature. Last week, it was apparent the heat was not shutting off and I replaced the almost new thermostat with a brand new one and the heat is still not shutting off... I can't believe that I have bought two faulty ones in a row! If this sounds like an installation error, what would be something I could change that could make it operate properly? All I think I can do is reverse the two wires and mess around with the switch settings... or, is there something else? I am TOO HOT and probably spending a gazillion dollars on gas! HELP!!!
